This was the 5th Courtyard by Marriott built; that fact is proudly displayed at the front desk. As a result, they don't have elevators, so ask for a 1st-floor room if you don't like stairs. My teenager and I stayed for a one night stay in route to Alabama. The hotel is next to the Peachtree Mall which we walked to. We also went to the movie theatre which is right behind the hotel. We stayed here for Family Day at Ft. Benning. The hotel has been renovated and has new carpet, great beds, and clean and updated bathrooms. This is a fine hotel to stay while in Columbus. Very comfortable and clean with a great pool and hot tub. The only thing wrong with this hotel is the amount of noise that came from the air conditioner in the room. It was very loud and made it difficult to sleep. I travelled with my mother, teen age son, daughter and her boyfriend and my military son's girlfriend. The purpose of our trip was to attend Family Day at Fort Benning. The hotel was clean and much to my surprise is 20+ years old and will be undergoing a total renovation in September. I can't imagine why as it looked better... more

We experienced some issues with our first room (requested non-smoking, but got a real stinker); however, the staff was quick to rectify the problem. We were moved to a much nicer (and less smelly) room overlooking the pool. Stayed at this hotel a couple of times while visiting family. Staff is very friendly and it's just like any other Courtyard. Except the pillows. They are not down or foam but like a couple of inches of puffy cotton that flattens to nothing, even if you have three of them piled up. My neck hurts more
