I made reservations for the premier room at the Gates House over a month in advance. Upon arrival, a very nice young woman (whose name I will not publish here) showed us to our room. Beautiful small b&b on a cobblestone, tree-lined, quet street right in downtown Columbus, near the river. Rooms are beautifully appointed, bathrooms are spacious, and common areas are welcoming. Breakfast was lots of fun with the cheerful cooks. It reminded us of a Hawaiian colonial house, right down to the bouganvillas. more
