Great hotel, great location, great restaurant. You might be disappointed to not be staying in the main house, but the rooms in the extension are comfortable and cosy, although they could do with a good clean. A bit pricey for Aberdeen standards, seeing as ta a bit out of town, but still a landmark.

Booked via Itison for a two day break, including one dinner. Arrived to be informed that the Priory Restaurant was not open that evening but that we could have our prepaid dinner on the second night and dine in the lounge on the first night. Room was not overly spacious but adequate. Reason for this was that the ensuite bathroom... More

Marycutler House Hotel's history is impressive. Dating back to the 1200s and the Knights Templar this place has been around for a long time!! Some of the shared rooms reflect this history and I loved the historic feeling the hotel imparted. It sits perfectly on the banks of the river Dee in a secluded landscape that is peaceful and quiet.... More

The Maryculter house is stunning and the setting is peaceful. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was beautiful with a fabulous bathroom and spectacular views over the river Dee. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and there was plenty to eat. I would recommend this hotel and this area of Scotland.

I'm lucky. My company sends me here for training courses. This is a beautiful place. History,12th century, Knights Templar, William the Lion. Setting, nestled in a bend of the river Dee, wildlife, otters, wildfowl, fox, it's beautiful. Food very, very good. Staff, so friendly, a delight. The rooms, simply fantastic, just an enjoyable experience, if you've never been, come, if... More

Just got back after spending 3 nights at this fantastic hotel. Would strongly recommend a visit. Hotel spotlessly clean. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming even though we arrived earlier than check-in time and given our room immediately. Compliments to the chef, food absolutely delicious and plentiful and all reasonably priced. Finally. thank you for a fabulous stay.

Attended a friends sons wedding here at the weekend. The venue and surroundings are stunning with the staff being extremely helpful with nothing being too much trouble. The wedding day was first class with the food and drink going down a treat. Unlike other country hotels I've visited the bar prices were extremely reasonable which just added to the overall... More

Stayed here last week whilst working nearby, very reasonable price compared to what you pay in Aberdeen , could not fault the place . The room was large with a comfortable bed, free water and a good selection of tea and coffee the view was straight on to the river. Breakfast was more than enough to fill you, evening meal... More

I recently stayed here with a colleague and think this is a fantastic hotel, 20 mins drive to Aberdeen city centre and local town of Peterculter had everything you might need, banks, garages and supermarkets. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff were very welcoming. 2 minor things I would suggest are firstly extend the times for serving... More
