Hi I attended a Wedding here which we booked to stay the night as we have two young children with us. When we arrived the pre-booked room had missed the detail that we had the kids with us and as there is no lift to the 1st floor we asked and it was changed that we would move to a... More

Hotel staff lovely setting superb, hotel and bedrooms need up dating they are now looking shabby , the lime green picture frame hanging above the stairs was a poor effort at shabby chic !!! You so can't rely on good old Scottish charm

We stayed for one night to attend a wedding in the hotel. I have to say the quality of food at the wedding was first class, both the main meal and the evening food. Breakfast was a well stocked and well replenished buffet. Setting is fantastic and staff very helpful. I do agree that bedrooms are a bit tired and... More

I like these sort of hotels, they may be a bit tired but they more than make up for this in character. I stayed here on business with a couple of colleagues, check in was quick and after a quick blast of deodorant & aftershave I was down in the bar. Once I had got my pint we went to... More

I took 15 students on a visit to an Aberdeen based Company and stayed here. What an amazing experience. Great views of the Dee and unique interior. The Templar Bar was a highlight. Very nice rooms and comfortable bed. 100% class.

A Hotel full of character that is sat in beautiful grounds with a lovely view of the river, lots of wildlife (otter, rabbits and deer) very comfy bed and a nice sized room. Evening meal was very nice on both evenings, drinks a little pricey but to be expected in country house hotel. Breakfast was buffet style but had plenty... More

Stayed here on business as it was adjacent to the river Dee. Smart, friendly private hotel with bags of character. Room very comfortable with ensuite wet room. Evening meal good with reasonable selection. Staff helpful and friendly even when the till system crashed and they had to go manual. If you would like to tour the area, or fish the... More

We recently had an overnight family stay for a murder mystery night. The hotel is full of character, our room could have done with a little updating, though another family members room was stunning. There are really nice rooms to sit in and have a drink in. The staff were great, friendly and helpful, providing information on the history of... More

A group of us stayed for 1 night as part of a hen weekend. We attended a murder mystery evening in the hotel which included a set 4 course meal which was delicious. Our twin room was clean, spacious and well stocked with the usual tea, coffee, hot choc, bathroom items etc. Beds were very comfortable and a huge bonus... More

During a recent holiday, we went to the restaurant at Maryculter House Hotel. Beautiful surroundings next to the River Dee. The hotel and restaurant are housed in beautiful old buildings. No wonder it is a favourite place for weddings. Food was really good. The Cullen Skink soup was wonderful - best I have ever tasted. The steak and mushroom pie... More
