We stay in hotels all over the world including luxury properties like the Ritz Carlton. Obviously Mt Aire Cottages in Clayton is not the Ritz Carlton on South Beach in Miami but in a way its sort of a Ritz Carlton experience in quaint beautiful North Georgia.Frank, the owner, has carefully built several rooms and cottages in a quiet treed... My sister and I were on a camping and hiking trip when there was a huge thunderstorm while we were out hiking. The storm dropped a huge amount of rain in a short time. Our campsite was in about 4 inches of water when we returned. Luckily our belongings were all still dry. We found a different campsite and proceeded... More

My husband's family held a family reunion over the 4th of July weekend at nearby Black Rock State Park in Clayton GA and my husband and I wanted to stay somewhere not so commercialized. The pictures on Mountain Aire's website were very appealing and the website was very inviting and informative. The dear Aunt that keeps us all together wanted... More

Having looked at the accommodation on the strip, the less said the better. So, asking around, we alighted upon the Mountain Aire cabins just a mile outside of Clayton. Frank, the owner, is what you might say 'old school' American hospitality is all about and quite literally nothing was too much trouble (he even printed our boarding passed for out... More

After a long day of motorcycling across North Carolina and north Georgia, coming into Clayton late in the afternoon, it was wonderful to check into the Mountain-Aire and relax. Frank welcomed us to his property and made feel right at home. The room we had was clean and well appointed and our bed was extremely comfortable. It was also a... More

We have stayed at Mountain Aire 4 times and each time was great. The rooms are always clean. I like that we have a refridgerator, microwave and coffeepot in the kitchenette. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Frank is such a kind, helpful, friendly man. We like the location--near downtown where we can walk. There are really interesting murals hand... More

Affordable, Friendly, and All American: Affordable means you won’t break your travel budget especially with kitchenette’s in every room. The cottages are meticulously designed with comfortable quilt-covered beds. It's a quiet, clean property that is unpretentious but thoughtfully lain out. Friendly means you meet a welcoming Innkeeper, who knows how to make his guests welcome in the best tradition of... More

We were in Clayton to visit our son, and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. This place is a group of "cabins" and rooms. Frank, the owner, is very accommodating, and very conscientioius. The Clear View cabin is one-bedroom with a queen bed and queen sofa bed in the living room. It has a washer/dryer, kitchen,... More

As usual, I consult TA before making a hotel reservation. I was immediately attracted to this property because of the outstanding reviews of the property. It is almost impossible to please every single guest, but clearly this hotel had done that. We made reservations for the following night and felt lucky to get them. Frank was working outside when we... More

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights. First Frank the owner was as nice and accomodating as can be. Super helpful on restaurants and local sights and sounds. Very personalized service! Second, the room was very clean and cozy, bathroom very clean, just an all around nice experience. Oh yes and there is the sweetest outdoor black... More
