the location is nice But the cabin was awful awful nasty dirty. Name it, it was dirty. Not worth $200 per night. We stayed in number 18, pet friendly cabin. The mattresses were stained, gross stuff on bathroom walls, stunk, light fixtures has years and years and dirt and dead bugs, cockroaches in kitchen, broken nasty dish washer, floors look... More

Lovely surroundings, great trails and opportunities for watersports, roomy campsites. The only negative was the bathroom/shower facilities; their was one shower and two bathroom stalls-not nearly enough for females. The shower floor was caked with mud/debris, the wall in the bathroom stall showcased a squashed roach hanging at eye level. If you have your own facilities, you will enjoy camping... More

Cabins are very roomy with 2 queen beds in each bedroom. Fully equipped kitchen. I believe all cabins have a water view. Porch with chairs and picnic table with charcoal grill short distance from cabin in yard. log fireplace need to purchase locally logs. I really enjoyed our stay. Quiet and relaxing

We had a great hike on Sunday! We went on the Homestead Trail, Sweet Gum Trail, and Visitor's Center Loop. The trail is compacted dirt, 2 people wide, and well maintained, and not too strenuous. The trail meanders through the woods overlooking Lake Allatoona. Definitely trail runner and dog friendly. We're going to try camping this summer once it warms... More

Hiked on Jan 3rd. I believe the entire loop of the trail is 4 miles but there are many breakaways from the main trail here. Very easy hike and bike trail here! $5 parking fee unless you get a free parking pass from the library. Nice scenic views as well. I recommend a visit.

We camped out this past weekend. We had the best time. We walked the trails and took our boat. We love the lots in the cove by the lake. It makes for easy access with our boat. Also the campground hosts were super sweet. We always enjoy meeting them!

Had a quick getaway to cottage #13 at the Red Top Mountain cottages! It was my family of 4...my husband and I along with our 2 children (ages: 15 and 4). Also with us was my father-in-law and his girlfriend. We had a 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Cottage right on the water (#13). We arrived on a Friday and left... More

We had our Family Reunion here at Red Top this summer 2013. We rented all the cabins that were available to rent. Warning: state policy is that cabins can only be rented 12 months out, but someone was allowing them to be rented earlier than that... so if you want a group of cabins, don't wait for 12 months out... We had a fantastic time during our visit (second one night trip we've done here in a row) this time and I must add, the staff is phenomenal! The park staff are always very kind and effective during check-in, so we were shocked this time when the party checking in in front of us were directly insulting them. We realized... More
