We went to Chateau Elan for a romantic evening without the kids. A bit laboreous to get to via Atlanta, but well worth the drive. Gorgeous landscape and accomodations. Found special rates on Travelzoo.com Excellent resort with 2 great golf courses. Very accomodating staff. Only complaint is that they charge $10. per day if you want internet access. Nice variety of restaurants. Best value for breakfast and luch is the golf clubhouse. more

I felt like I should put 2 cents in after spending last friday night at the inn. I'd been there last year for a business meeting and was pretty impressed w/ the rooms, enjoyed seeing vineyards and sampling wines. Be Careful of this place. The charge you for things you didn't do or buy. You try to talk to them about it and they dismiss you and do nothing to change their mistake. more

The Chateau was lovely--well kept grounds and immaculate facilities. Our suite was large and comfortable, as was the bathroom which was roomy with a glass enclosed shower.
