on a recent Trip to Siesta key we stopped here to have lunch, because of the reviews others had placed on here. it was around Noon on a weekday and the place appeared to be abandoned. We did not see a sign stating it was closed for the season/ construction. Not sure if this place is still in business. Make... More

We called the number from their website two days before our arrival. They took our name and said we would have room. (They did not ask for a credit card.) We arrived at 3:30pm today. The office for the hotel was closed and locked. The restaurant had a sign that said "Open soon." We called the number from the website... More

We had planned to stay the night but changed our mind after seeing the motel. But we did have a marvelous hamburger that was almost two meals. They give you magic markers to leave your signature wherever you can find an empty space. The waitress's were eager to please and give information. Once there was a museum upstairs in what... More

No one answered our advance call for a room. When we pulled in, the sign said the bar and motel were open but the door was locked. Per their website and the sign outside, it's for sale or rent. Sorry, it may have some services but we couldn't tell one way or the other.

This is a very small bar/eatery that serves the only food for about an hour each direction (if you don't count the Subway at the gas station), so they have a captive audience. However, it is a nice little place, that serves nice daily special like a tuna melt, and has a great cobb salad. There is a creepy mannequin... More

This place is amazing! The restaurant and inn are run by a very, very nice husband and wife team who went out of their way to provide the greatest customer service. The restaurant/bar is cozy and unique, one of a kind! The food is delicious and the drinks are great. The motel rooms have a beautiful back view of cow... More

On our way to Tampa it was a nice little rest stop. Very "Historic" or "Rustic", their idea of cuban coffee is basically espresso. No steamed milk. The menu had some interesting items for lunch, and they also serve breakfast. The server/bartender wasn't very friendly.

My family and I have traveled through YeeHaw Junction at least once a year for the past 28 years. Always saw the Desert Inn & Restaurant, but never stopped until a couple of years ago. Don't remember what we ate then, but the atmosphere and clientele was the same as it was on our most recent visit. Menu had changed... More

Stopped here for a pick me up on the way back to South Florida from Lakeland. Adorable place, has a historic/gritty charm - watch out for the creepy maniquienne in the women's room. I loved all of the historical info and memorabilia they have around the Inn. Amazing cuban coffee! We didn't try the food, the menu is mostly fried... More
