Park Plaza hotel is a very small boutique hotel in the very fashionable town of Winter Park, Florida. It is located on Park avenue which is the heart and hub of the city. Park ave is a series of shops and restaurants featuring al fresco dining. Although it isn't actually a part of the hotel, the Park Plaza Gardens restaurant,... More

Travelers expecting Hilton-Marriott-Hyatt Big Box amenities should stay out on the Interstate and listen to 18-wheelers all night. This jewel box of a hotel is for real travelers who are looking for charm and authenticity. The Plaza is QUAINT, OK? And wonderful. And the train to New York stops in the backyard. No exaggeration. The rooms are small, the way... More

We stayed on the second floor overlooking Park Ave. The hotel is beautifully maintained and the rooms well appointed. Our room led out to a wonderful balcony overlooking Park Ave. and it was a most enjoyable spot to sit with coffee and newspaper in hand or just to watch the activity of the town going by on the street down... We had mixed feelings between the Park Plaza Hotel and another one a block away that was quite new. My husband and I were so thrilled to have chosen this hotel. From the moment we looked at the entrance, to the reservation desk, old style elevator with the gate we needed to slide across before going up or down; we... More

If you are planning on visiting Orlando for more than just theme parks, then you must go to the independent city of Winter Park just north of downtown Orlando. It is stepping back into the early last century with a downtown that resembles a quaint New England village, and even has an Am Track station. In addition to very fine... More

Don't judge this book by its over... Although a bit dated, the service and location made us ignore some of the needed upgrades. The hotel could not have been in a better location - on the main street, with several restaurants and sites in close walking distance. The staff, particularly the bellman/valet driver, showed great pride in his work and... More

My wife and I are pretty local and just wanted a quick get away. The hotel is exactly what we were looking for, not your typical hotel lots of charm and most of the staff was wonderful and I am very sorry I can not remember the name of the Stewart that assisted us to our room. He was very... More

It is marketed as a "historic" hotel which basically means it needs updating bad! For example, the hallway outside my room was a huge hole in the ceiling. The beds were old and uncomfortable and the bathroom was as small as a linen closet!! Definitely will not be coming back

We were driving through this beautiful town and stopped without a reservation. I called to see if Park Plaza had a room. With the front desk's help, we found our way to their front door, which is right in the middle of town, but so beautifully hidden by overhanging Boston ferns, and architecture not usual of a hotel, where we... We enjoyed our stay at Park Plaza Hotel an historic old hotel with good bedding and low prices compared to the Alfond Hotel. The rooms are very small and bathroom as well. It was hard moving around the room with 2 tall adults and only 1 person in bathroom. We chose to upgrade to the king room with a living... More
