The location of this hotel saved me from both the cost and time needed to rent/return a car which is how I justified paying what was, on this occasion, a "splurge" room cost. I looked forward to this higher-bracket hotel where I booked the least-expensive room that I could (no balcony). I liked my room and the old, European-feel of... more

Okay, We read the same reviews that are on this website and frankly I always rely on them - they accurate. BUT, there were not any other good choices for Winter Park unless we wanted to go in Orlando. So here are my thoughts: It's an old hotel. It has an elegant feel as you walk inside and the woodwork... more

My family came to this hotel so my sister could visit Rollins, but the hotel's proximity to the college is about all that made it worthwhile. The front desk and courtier deserve awards for their kindness and attentiveness (I was able to look at 7 restaurant menus to pick dinner) but the room itself was a nightmare. Thin walls (I... more

This hotel was quaint and simple. The rooms were tiny compared to your modern hotel but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities served their purpose. The porch looking over the park was a great place to sip your morning coffee (which was brought to the room with a muffin). The location however, was the best part about the... more

The best thing about this place is definitely location, location, location. The hotel is slightly faded and a little shabby but with such a prime site on the main street of such a chic little town it was hard to find too much to complain about. Just a little worried by the mousetrap behing the TV but the staff were... more

The hotel is old, but elegant. The bathrooms are very tiny, as is the sitting area. The bed is wonderful. The balcony overlooking Park is great. The service was great. It is different, but being right on the street was perfect. I'm a 5 starrer hotel person and this is not a luxurious room, but it fits with the whole... more

My stay at the Park Plaza Hotel was wonderful. The rooms were delightful. The staff was very friendly and catered to you every need. I stayed in the front balcony suite which over looked Park Ave and the shops. all the shops and restaurants are in walking distance. I highly recommend you to stay here. more

Good: the bed was comfortable, sitting on the balcony and watching park ave at night was fun. Bad: It was overpriced, the front desk was snobby, the bathroom was tiny, and the walls were paper-thin, so we heard every noise which kept us awake for hours. The only thing good about this place is the location and the balcony. Everything... more

We stayed here on our wedding night thinking it would be quaint and romantic. It was the worst experience possible and it ruined our wedding night. The noise from the street and trains were unbearable. At 6 am we were awakened by the couple next door having sex and having conversation at a normal volume--we heard every word, every sigh,... more

While the hotel is quaint and service is great, I defintiely would not recommend staying here unless you are a very deep sleeper. Loud train going through at night several times and the sound of a rat scratching up in the ceiling is enough to keep the nerves going! more
