Our idiot governor has privatised many things, including the operation of this lodge. Our food was fair to poor, the bathroom walls are splattered with whatever they use to clean the toilets and sinks, all very depressing. We loved this place in the old days.

I thought I was going to an old lodge. What I found was a run-down dingy hotel. The rooms were unattractive as well as smelly. The entire place needs a major face-lift. Otherwise it needs to be called a rustic motel. I think the original owner would be horrified at the condition of this place. Some good points, the few... More

Arriving at the Hotel with its gorgeous lobby an huge fireplace is truly a trip back in time...back to the 1930s. The elevator has the cage door and slowly moves up to the second floor. Food is excellent! Rooms are very clean and best if you get a view out to the Springs. Don't miss the jungle trip on the... More

I've been visiting Wakulla Springs Lodge since I was a young boy. At that time, there was no Interstate 10 to zip through the Panhandle on, and any trip further south involved an afternoon meal at the 1937-vintage Lodge. Although Wakulla Springs became a state park in the mid-1980s, I'm happy to report that the basic character of Wakulla Springs... More

I rode the bike trail which was beautiful. The boat ride was incrediable, I got to see manatee, alligator , wild turkey and many other birds. I ate dinne and breakfast at the Lodge and was pleasantly surprised.

Room 38 is spartan but clean. No TV,coffee, fridge,or microwave. The lav is tiny but clean and everything works. What doesn't work is the thermostat in the room. The air could neither be controlled or turned off. Extra blankets were provided by an embarrassed desk clerk but we felt we were staying in a meat locker. A very uncomfortable night.

Our stay at the Wakulla Springs Lodge was relaxing, peaceful and very low-key. I had 3 teenagers with me and our room had 2 beds, a couch and another rollaway bed. The decor was old-fashioned, but clean & tasteful. The rooms were large, but the bathroom was pretty small, with not much room to put all of our cosmetic bags.... More

Step back to 1930 and re-live America's history! Then get out and enjoy nature--when the park closes, you will have it all to yourself! Be SURE to take the pontoon scenic cruise fro the dock and eat in the on-site restaurant!

This beautifu lodge was built in 1937 and still retains its original charm. I have given the rating as excellent because this is the kind of secluded, unspoilt, close to nature place we love. Some of you may find the bedrooms basic but they were comfortable and homely, reminiscent of my grandmother's, ours was furnished with a small double bed,... More

This lodge gives the visitor a glmpse of 1930s lodging providing by it's very forward thinking founder. Although now run by the State parks and has been given some modern comforts much of the decor, rooms etc are the same and it offers great value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and you have great access to the... More
