Hotel room smelt musty, and was damp - as evidenced by mould on blinds and the dehumidifier. Decor, interior, fixtures and bathroom so outdated, old and need replacing. Linens looked clean but who knows. Not enough towels for all the guests. Really poor. Only redeeming feature was the garden. None of this hotel was as depicted in the photos. AC unit was also old, loud and good luck to you if you stay in summer you’re going to be hot.

Very basic lodging. The bed was kind of soft. I didn't use the coffee pot because it wasn't clean inside the water chamber. Nice linens and it had an air purifier, which was nice. The outdoor area is very nice. We probably wouldn't stay here again because it just wasn't super clean.

We rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It was very clean, and comfortable also updated. We really enjoyed our patio as well. Everything in kitchen was in working order and the kitchen was stocked nicely. Housekeeping everyday and she did an awesome job!

I needed a one night stay, which is hard to come by in the area, but was lucky to book at the Sea Turtle Inn. Centrally located and a walk to the best coffee shops, restaurants/bars and beach and parking! I was also able to leave my luggage and check-in sooner when the room was available. My room, a small efficiency, was lovely, clean and reminded me of fond vacationing memories in Palm Springs. There were inspiring and beachy messages I loved :) It was quiet and lively, perfect atmosphere for a single person. The women who run Sea Turtle are kind, accommodating and fun. I will definitely return myself and recommend this Vero gem for your stay.

I just spent three nights at the Sea Turtle Inn and I was really happy with my whole stay. My room was spacious and clean and lots of amenities, the pool was clean and inviting, the overall vibe of the place was peaceful, quiet, well cared for, surrounded by flowering garden, several restaurants within a block or two. I've stayed in four different hotels in the Vero area in the last six months and this one was definitely the best.

The Sea Turtle Inn is a dump and we wouldn't stay here again if it was free. Negative reviews are very accurate. PAY ATTENTION!!!! When we opened the door to our room, we were hit with an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. There were hairs on the bathroom sink. Bed was uncomfortable. AC unit had to be restarted during the night and we almost checked out in the middle of the night.

Room 9. Highlights: Dirty coffee pot with old grinds still inside. Mason jar with cloudy brown water and sickly plant cuttings. Kleenex dispenser empty. Towels with makeup stain (in spite of posted notice that guests will be charged for leaving stained linens.) They replaced the broken toilet seat, though. And on checkout day, when we returned from breakfast at 9 am to use the bathroom, we found the maid already cleaning and our reading material and papers in a trash bag outside the door. Bed was comfortable.

I stopped in on Jan 31 to book a room for two nights that I saw online. I was in town for an unplanned trip due to my brother being in the hospital. Because I was in the area I thought I would drive by and see what it looked like and inquire inside. I saw an office sign and it was a lady sitting behind a desk, in a messy office with room decor cluttered everywhere. She seemed flustered and I told her that I noticed there was a room available online for two nights. She said can you hold on a minute I said absolutely. Then she very rudely said can you wait outside!! It was so rude I said sure can and I just kept on walking to my car. I thought I might be doing them a favor instead of paying a booking site I could just stop in. Very bad experience so Airbnb got my money!

Ruined and fraught evening because of lack of communication and key information from Sea Turtle. After booking with Expedia and getting Expedia's email acknowledgement, hotel office was found 20 minutes later to be closed this early evening. An automatic message indicated that key info would be sent to us but it never arrived. After several phone calls to Sea Turtle's voicemail, plus text messages, after a couple of hours gave up and booked another hotel. Next day Sea Turtle messaged that no charge would be made, and that their phone had been out of action.

We stayed at the Sea Turtle Inn for a 4-day family reunion in September. Our "go-to" Vero Beach hotel was already booked, but this one looked cute enough online. I wish I had paid attention to the bad reviews. The photos on the website are a complete misrepresentation. At most, there are one or two renovated rooms which appear in the website photos -- the rest are old, in poor condition, and inundated with mold. (We had 5 rooms for our group) Like one of the other reviewers, we checked in late, so a key was left for us. We walked into room #10 and were hit with the most awful mildew smell. In retrospect, we should have called the emergency number to get a room change, but we decided to make the best of it. As I do with all hotels we stay in, I wiped surfaces down with disinfecting wipes. I have never seen a dirtier room. There was visible mold on walls and air conditioner, broken or stained furniture, and towels that looked like rags. Worst of all was the mildew smell. It was so hard to breathe that we slept with Covid masks on. The next morning, we spoke to the manager and were told the smell was the cleaning product they use. Really? He gave us a different room, which was better (how could it not be?), but by no means great. The room itself was in better condition, but still had a mildew odor and mold on the air conditioner. For the duration of our stay, we left all the windows open unless we were out, and tried to spend as little time as possible in the room. The worst part of the whole experience occurred when we got home. We realized that everything we brought on the trip reeked of mildew. All of our clothes, our suitcases and cloth carry-on bags, the fabric-lined cover of my ipad, hairbrushes, straw hats -- EVERYTHING -- had to be washed and/or aired out multiple times. We sprayed our suitcases and non-washable items inside and out repeatedly with white vinegar and left them in the sun to air out. Two months later, the smell still lingers on some bags and clothes, even after being soaked in white vinegar. I still can't believe the lasting effects of this hotel stay -- not to mention the hidden effect on our health. On the outside, the property looks cute and has nice landscaping, with a great location. But at what cost? This is the perfect example of looks being deceiving. Turn and run -- stay anywhere else.
