First time at the Driftwood and it was a perfect experience. We have traveled to many Florida resorts and this was one of the few that excelled at everything. The resort itself was beautifully designed and historic while our room was very modern and comfortable. No detail was overlooked - e.g. grounds & rooms extremely clean, fully equipped kitchen, central... More

This is a little older than many people like, but I just love the old Florida style motels. This is a little different, but I now have a new favorite on the beach. The rooms were nice and problem-free, the bar and restaurant were well worth it. Staff was very helpful. Will definitely stay again.

You can stay right on the water. small but clean beach. Pool, bar and restaurant. Live music on Weekends. Built out of real driftwood, this place is classic. Most of the units are timeshare but you can stay for a night or week too

My husband & I stayed 3 days. Loved the historical significance & gorgeous beach. Good location to walk to park next door, shops & several restaurants. Efficiency a little dated but clean. Waldo's the onsite restaurant and bar was great. We now have a favorite place in Vero.

This is a great location, and has a lot of character. It is a little tired inside the room we stayed in, but we really enjoyed it and it was what we wanted. I would highly recommend this place, but don't go with the mindset that it is super luxurious.

We stay at the Driftwood during the winter months. It is right on the Atlantic Ocean and convenient to most everything on the Treasure Coast. It has extraordinary customer service which is one of a kind. When we have any issues with this resort that is on the National Registry of Historic Sites, they are immediately addressed with a smile.... More

My husband and I and our 3 children spent 5 spring breaks at the Driftwood in the 1990's. Those weeks are some of our most cherished family memories. On a trip through Florida this week, my husband and I decided to stay one night after an 18 year absence. We stayed on an oceanfront suite and we felt it was... More

Hard review to write, because there's two completely different experiences here. When we first checked in, we were assigned a room in the newer four-story building to the South of the property. It was uninspiring, and smelled of smoke. Had we stayed in this room, you'd be seeing a 1 star review. Complained to the front desk, who didn't have... More

The upside is that this is a historical, unique property which gives makes it interesting and it is in a good location, across from stores and walkable for shopping and by the ocean. The downside is that better maintenance is needed, and reworking the layout of the rooms, at least in the older section we stayed in. My first impression... More

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We have 11 buildings on the property, and you were staying in what was indeed originally a motel, converted to condos about 25 years ago. I'm sorry you didn't like the way it was set up. The sliding doors are there because the sofa is also a sleep sofa and the... More
