This is the truth, like it or not. We stayed at Trail's End for a weekend and we had towels with holes in them, had to ask for more than just one for the two of us!! One small bar of soap, one small shampoo. Toaster was broken and we never got another. The kitchen was filthy. It smelled of... more
It looks cute and quaint in the picture. And, yes, on the outside it's got a lot of atmosphere. But, upon entering my room, I almost started crying. No coffeemaker, no microwave, no fridge, an ice bucket with no lid, no cups, not even a clock, pillows that gave me a neckache the entire time. Mattress from hell. Curtains literally... more
Our stay at the Trails End, was well how can I put it...just okay. There was one great part of the stay though. The maid who took care of us during the duration of the stay was exceptional. She cleaned the room thoroughly, serviced us with a smile, always was very helpful, and she was even kind to my children,... more
We stayed at the Trail’s End in May 2007, after arriving in Treasure Island with no reservations. This place looked nice from the outside so we took the plunge and stayed one night. The hotel has some really funky 1950’s architectural details all over it, so it looks kind of retro and fun. The center courtyard is dominated by the... more
We recently visited the Treasure Island. We arrived around midnight, on a Saturday night with no reservations. We found the Trail's End. We did stay in one of the gulffront rooms. No patio or balcony but a beautiful panaramic view from the huge windows more than made up for it. The furnishings were new and beautiful rattan. The sofabed had... more
The Motel needs alot of updating and a good cleaning. I don't mind a place that looks it age, but it was unclean. There was a dead bug in the lighting panels in the bathroom. Old spagetthi sauce on the walls. Not near enogh pans, dishes or cup for the kitchenette. Thank God the Arvilla Motel next door had an... more
We stayed there for 4 days. Unfortunatly we had a room directly to the street. The room itself was sticky, dirty and has to be urgently renovated, thats what we told the desk clerk. She said, it may be renovated in the future. The kitchen was not fully equipped. A lot of dishes, cups, pots.... were missing. So you can't... more
We arrived at about 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday to the most awful place I've ever stayed. We looked immediatly for another place. We ended up having to stay one night. We had 6 people in our group. Our bedding had not been cleaned, their was animal hair on it. As my girls were going to sleep, one sat up... more
We stayed at Trail's End as it was a last minute trip last week and every hotel in St Pete Beach and most in Treasure Island were booked. Compared to other TI hotels, which are almost all mom and pop-type, it was pretty decent, but it is not a luxury hotel, barely a 2 star in fact. The beach is... more
