First of all i would like to say the people saying this hotel is bad must not be staying here. My family and I have been staying here almost 10 years straight. We have never had any of these problems people said they have had. The owners take very good care of the place. Also, they are two of the... more

First off I must mention that there are TWO Tradewinds in the area - a bigger, fancier, more expensive building (that some have reviewed here) and the 'pink' two storey building in Treasure Island that I will review. My husband & I stumbled upon this small family-run motel 3 yrs ago ~ this past year stayed here for our full... more

My parents found the small pink Tradewinds Motel back in the 80's and instantly fell in love. Whenever we go to Florida, we always book Tradewinds. Nice sizeable rooms with a pullout sofa/bed, table, bed, mini-kitchen w/ a fridge and stove. You normally overview from your room the beach or the port. The beach is a short walk away from... more

We started off at a nearby hotel and hated it, therefore we transferred to the Tradewinds. We loved it. We had a beachfront two room suite with a great view. The entrance to the room was a little awkward since you enter through the bedroom but the room itself was clean and adequate for a good group. It was a... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during a 3 week fly-drive to Florida and it was THE WORST hotel we visited. It looked good and it felt good but once booked in we were so aware that we were just part of a large conveyor belt of guests. No personal touch, more of a number which is possibly... more

I tried to find one of the nicer hotels in the area because I was in town with my boyfriend for a short getaway. We had hoped our stay would at least be satisfactory. SO WRONG!!!! Management was combative and all around horrible. We had problems as soon as we checked in--which we voiced (no airconditioning, dirty room, unacceptable waiting... more

We stayed here three years ago and return for another week as part of a two week break in Florida (15-29 October 2007). We took a room with a balcony with a full sea view (Gulf). Brilliant view and an easy going hotel. No complaints and we are a frequent 4/5 star hotel user. We ate out at Woodies Cafe... more

The room we stayed in was a slightly outdated but comfortable place. The picture window opened up to the pool and right past that the beach. The beach is incredibly wide and we couldn't see the water, but it wasn't too hard to get to. The staff was marvelous and we used the gas grills outside to cook a fabulous... more

We stayed at the Tradewinds for 4 nights post-honeymoon. It was like being stuck in a seventies timewarp! The place was in serious need of a revamp and ameneties were few. The staff however were quite friendly and upgraded us into a large (though dated)room as we were honeymooners. more
