We selected this hotel because of the proximity to the MOSI sponsored Renaissance Festival. The hotel grounds and lobby were very clean as well as our rooms and the location was wonderful, we all felt like we were in a secluded forest area and even saw a baby alligator crossing the road one morning. It's a shame that there aren't many reviews posted for this hotel because it's not getting the praise it deserves. I recently stayed here for two nights with another coworker and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. (I have traveled quite extensively for work over the past 20 years.) First, there were ants in the bathroom as well as the kitchen, (bring your own bug spray). Second, the nightly free food was a joke (some sort of microwave burger??, chips and beer?) Located directly off I-75, the Residence Inn is one of many similarly-priced hotels in the Temple Terrace section of Tampa. Like most Marriott-branded properties, it is slightly above-average with a slightly above-average price. Super clean. Beautiful landscaping. Free hot breakfast buffet in the morning. Free 800 phone calls. About 5 minutes to Busch Gardens theme park.
