Took a side trip to the keys and found this nice historic hotel in Tavernier. Very comfortable, very clean and has a cute little courtyard garden. The staff was friendly and recommended a great place to eat and watch the sunset. We plan to return to the Tavernier Hotel and spend more time exploring the Florida Keys. more

While historic in nature, and I can appreciate history, this inn needs some major improvement. We rented the one cottage on the property- a porch-turned-into-kitchenette, a large room with a king size bed AND a double bed in it, and the tiniest bathroom ever in a hotel.
