I went to the Tarpon inn for a weekend away with my girlfriend. Heres the thing. Everybody has different standards. My advice to anyone thinking of staying here is " Go look at the room before paying" The one we were given was non smoking, but stank of cigarettes. The soft furishings were dirty. (The reception furniture gives a good... More

Our daughter and grandson came to visit. We read the mixed reviews and thought with the new management we could try it out. We went there personally to inspect the property as they planned to stay 5 or 6 nights. We were shown room 108 which is the room they said our family would be in. Although it was dated... More

Internet pricing shows $40/nt. for king room but when you show up, front desk plays dumb and says there's no $40 pricing on any room. Finally got $55 after threatening to leave. Room was large but rough paint and walls. Bed appeared clean so we stayed. The location is good but would stay in a nicer hotel if more than... More

I loved staying here, the location is great, close to beaches, shoppes and parks. The staff only came in the room every three days or so, and then the just gave us new towels and only made one of the beds. I'm not sure why. The room was clean, the A/C worked great, overall it's a nice place to stay.

Tarpon Inn is under going a major renovation. I stayed here awhile back and not many things were up to date but I just stayed there for two weeks and there is a lot improvements happening. During my stay they have re-paved the parking lot, added snack machines, remodeling rooms, repainting buildings and walkways and pressure washing. I'm glad to... More

Stayed here when we were in a pinch - we didn't realize there was a PGA tour in the area and every other hotel was booked. I've backpacked through the South Pacific, and I haven't stayed anywhere this bad. We wouldn't touch any surfaces, and we certainly didn't shower (grey, paper-thin towels and a dirty bathtub weren't very appealing). Beds... More

While the location is excellent, all I can say is someone should by the place and tear down the place and put up a good motel. My relatives booked what I would consider the best room in the motel. After they checked in they had to clean the stove, cupboards, refrigerator, and bathroom before they moved there personal belongings in.... More

Our first clue: Room smelled bad, dirty floor, shower/tub plugged, no excuse to be filthy, well past old and worn. Late nite needed sleep. Unforgettable. Should be condemned. This gives the town of Tarpon Springs a bad name carrying the Tarpon Inn name.

The smell in our room made me dry heave. The white towels were so old they were gray. My husband and I literally stayed a couple hours. We didn't even bathe there because we were afraid of the towels. Seriously, I've stayed in 3rd world countries and this was worse. I rather have slept in my car. Didn't take shoes... More
