We stayed for 3 nights for spring trading in March . Hotel is very nice with an updated modern feel. The price was great for hotel of this level.Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel has become our most preferred hotel in Tampa. We come to Tampa very regularly for business and would only stay somewhere else if the Intercontinental is unavailable. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the rooms are impeccably clean, and the location is very central. Stay for the breakfast buffet at Shula's!!

The rooms nice, but not overwhelming; the service efficient, but not warm; the restaurant a decent steak house but not memorable. I'd stay again if in the area -- and be glad to do so -- but I wouldn't seek it out.

We stayed here the night before and the afternoon after our recent Royal Caribbean cruise. It was excellent and in a great area, handy for the adjacent mall and convenience stores. Rooms were okay but if u want a pleasant work out experience , reasonable food or good coffee stay elsewhere. Work out room was poorly equipped, hot, TVA didn't work, etc. many other nicer places to stay. And pool is extremely small

This hotel was chosen strategically once I had a flight arriving in Tampa late at night, but my final destination was orlando. The shuttle service picked us up at the airport really easily and free of charge ( good point). The room was nice for your average business hotel. The valets were very quick and polite as were the front desk staff. When we arrived in our room the temperature was 79 degrees. We turned the AC on and didn't feel any air coming out of the vents.
