The hotel itself is vet nice at the edge of Ybor city. Good for business or adult travel. I would not call this a kid friendly section of town. Very close to convention center which is great.

Hampton Inn, Ybor City is a good, reasonably priced hotel. The rooms were clean, the service was friendly. Room included full breakfast everyday which - while not gourmet, was quite good, and much better than the continental fare. They also had a free shuttle service to take you into downtown.

My wife and I stayed here overnight, as we were attending a hockey game channelside. This was the closest hotel that was not full, on a transport route (trolley). The parking was ridiculous, as you had to pay 8 bucks, and may of had to park in the "Crack Lot" around back, since there was no assigned parking (even after... More

We appreciate your feedback and will strive to improve in the areas that we can control. As our guests have commented previously, Ybor City is a vibrant, diverse, and historical place that provides plenty of excitement. Despite the fact that we attract such a diverse crowd we are pleased that crime in Tampa is down significantly and that the Ybor... More

Stayed a week for a convention in late March. Very convienent to shopping, restaurants, and bars. The shuttle that goes in a 5 mile radius saved me quite a few dollars. Thanks to everyone there for your help! The room was perfect, cleaned everyday, and toiletries replenished. Breakfast in the morning was tasty. Not too mention 24/7 coffee. If you... More

Shuttle to the cruise terminal, breakfast, and it's clean! These are the main selling points. We stayed 1 night prior to a cruise. It was perfect for that. There is a pretty good on-site free breakfast. The hotel is what you would expect of your standard Hampton Inn. The pool is nothing great. There is a nearby trolly car that... More

We stayed at the Ybor City Hampton Inn on a recent visit to Florida. Friends in state had a family issue at the last minute forcing us to alter our plans. We planned to stay at the Hampton Inn but had to make changes to our schedule on the fly. No problem for the reservation clerk at Hampton Inn as... More

When coming into town, I had a little feeling we had picked the wrong area. Was I wrong!!! Hotel area was so much fun. The hotel staff was wonderful from the morning to the afternoon to the evening...excellent all the way around! The shuttle brought us to the ship in the morning..earlier than we had signed up for. Rooms were... More

We just returned from a one-night stay here for a wedding. From first appearances, one might not think it would be the best place to stay, as it is in a somewhat run-down part of Tampa. However, if you want to stay in Ybor or near the cruise port or Channelside, it is an excellent location and a great hotel.... More

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and I must say from the time we checked in until the time we checked out, the staff was excellent. They were friendly, funny and enjoyed what they are doing. But I must say Cynthia and Ebony were the highlights of my stay. These 2 ladies were exceptional and an asset... More
