Check in was speedy and very friendly. Initially the room seemed nice. Then noticed the bathroom sink was clogged as well as the toilet. The shower pipe was loose in the wall and the shower head had very low pressure. A /C was loud even on low and did not cool the room even though it was cool outside. Breakfast... More

I just finished reading your review of our hotel, and am dismayed at the impression that you left with! As you can see from our other reviews this is not the norm for us, and I apologize to you. I wish that I could have had the opportunity to speak with you prior to your departure from our hotel. Please... More

Stayed here for a couple nights and really enjoyed our stay. It's a great location, with a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Ybor city is not somewhere I would really want to be outside walking at night, but the hotel itself felt very safe and secure. Parking was a bit of a problem, they charge something like $8 for... Recently, my work team and I had the opportunity to stay at the Hampton Inn at Ybor City, downtown Tampa, Florida. We were unfamiliar with the area and the staff at the hotel were fabulous about giving us directions, providing transportation resources, recommending great places to eat. They were incredibly accomodating of us. The hotel was clean, in great working... More

The Hotel is in a great location. Stayed before a cruise and used the opportunity to check out the night life in Ybor City. Walked 7th avenue to the Columbia restaurant, little touristy, but fun anyway. When I checked out I accidentally left my dress shoes behind and did not notice until we arrived on the cruise ship. I called... More

I stayed in this hotel on business for 12 days, which is a long enough stay to be able to judge the hotel. It's very well situated, easy to find, good rooms, helpful staff, really useful shuttle service, and safe. First of all, the hotel is easy to find, so if you are not used to the city and decided... Booked this hotel because it offered a stay and cruise package including breakfast, with parking during the cruise, and shuttle service to and from the cruise terminal. We had a little difficulty finding the entrance because its location is in the historic district of Ybor City which limits signage for businesses. We called the front desk to ask where the... More

Enjoyed this hotel so much. Came to town for a rock show at The Ritz (Metric!!!, and looked for a place close by. I had no idea how close. The Hampton is walking distance from all the funky excitement of old Ybor City. Dive bars, dance clubs, drag divas, great restaurants, vintage clothing shops, "novelty items," abound. Cultural center and... More

We stayed for one nistays or a wedding. The location is good being in ybor. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around. However, as with any city keep an eye out and your purse tucked tight. There are quite a few panhandlers in the area...I gave one a granola bar as he claimed to be hungry. Yeah, he wasn't... More

Very nice, surprised by the free breakfast from 6-10am breakfast basics, right off 7th ave but far away that you won't be kept up at night. On site parking is $8 a day, offers freeshuttle transportation up until 1am and there is a trolley stop right by the hotel. The bed was awesome, very clean. Will definitely stay here again.

With few options in Tampa Ybor to begin with, this is the best of what is available and is a great choice. Booking directly, we got a great rate, and did our research in advance so enjoyed a nice large quiet room on the top floor. The hotel has parking included in the room rate, as is a very nice... More
