I'll cut to the chase on this subject. 1) Front desk service upon check in was infuriating and demeaning. Staff clearly had not been schooled in basic customer service and their demeanor, tone of voice, and lack of interest showed it. 2) We were told there were no extra blankets. We could use extra sheets but would have to come... More

Checked in last night just my boyfriend and I to find that they had put us In a double bed room and we asked to switch to a king or queen and we were refused after it clearly states on Priceline we can request whatever..... Long story short it was horrible customer service they provided no help, they charge $15... More

Old hotel you can tell was probably once nice, but not so much anymore. Not a 3.5 Star by any means. Got burned by Priceline on this one, never again. -$15 valet parking -Exercise room is a joke, simply a "room" with an old treadmill and a few weights thrown in there -Terrible room lighting, multiple burned out bulbs -(in... Yes the Floridan is quite the step back in time and has beautifully ornate furniture. But it's not what I would consider close to 3.5 stars. Maybe 2.5. Maybe. What I noticed: the sheets were paper thin and felt like paper. For the money and the rating I expect something comfortable. Not to mention the blanket was stained and the... More

Evocative old world charm in a state that is short on that kind of find. Walked into the lobby and wanted to bob my hair! Beautiful old hotel bar, restored rooms; services could use an update. Restaurant is average at best. Amenities are also few.

The hotel was nice and clean. The parking fee ruined my one night experience. $16 for one night of parking is nothing short of astonishing. Hotel should be ashamed of itself charging such ridiculous rates.

I booked the Floridan Palace through Priceline. I was attending a conference at the Tampa Convention Center. The staff at the Floridan Palace, from the custodial staff to the front desk staff to the bartender, were courteous and did their best to be helpful. I often got the sense that they were constrained by the hotel's budget or manpower. For... More

Almost everything about this hotel was bizarre. The bones of the historic hotel are evident in the lobby - restored ceiling, lovely bar, chandeliers. But that's all that's good. The hotel places a $100 hold on your credit card for incidentals. The rooms are musty. The bathrooms are updated to a a 1970's motel look. The historic furnishings clash with... More

The hotel itself is really pretty and unique in appearance because it's restored to its 1920's look. The bathrooms are fully renovated so you don't have to worry about old plumbing or outdated tile. I was lucky to get a wheelchair accessible room because it was absolutely huge...a corner room on the 12th floor. But the excitement ended when I... More

I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and if I’m ever in Tampa in the future, I will stay here again. I was in town for a hockey game and the hotel is within walking distance to the arena. I walked everywhere and never felt unsafe. The hotel is also very close to several museums (Children’s Museum, Museum of Art, etc)... More
