I booked the Floridan Palace through Priceline. I was attending a conference at the Tampa Convention Center. The staff at the Floridan Palace, from the custodial staff to the front desk staff to the bartender, were courteous and did their best to be helpful. I often got the sense that they were constrained by the hotel's budget or manpower. For... More

Almost everything about this hotel was bizarre. The bones of the historic hotel are evident in the lobby - restored ceiling, lovely bar, chandeliers. But that's all that's good. The hotel places a $100 hold on your credit card for incidentals. The rooms are musty. The bathrooms are updated to a a 1970's motel look. The historic furnishings clash with... More

The hotel itself is really pretty and unique in appearance because it's restored to its 1920's look. The bathrooms are fully renovated so you don't have to worry about old plumbing or outdated tile. I was lucky to get a wheelchair accessible room because it was absolutely huge...a corner room on the 12th floor. But the excitement ended when I... More

I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and if I’m ever in Tampa in the future, I will stay here again. I was in town for a hockey game and the hotel is within walking distance to the arena. I walked everywhere and never felt unsafe. The hotel is also very close to several museums (Children’s Museum, Museum of Art, etc)... More

My DH and I stayed for one night. The Good: Charming hotel from a by-gone era. We found valet and front desk to be efficient and helpful (but I could see where there are significant inconsistencies in service relative to training gaps). The rooms are large (#511) and the bathrooms are nicely designed with marble floor and countertops. They are... More

Very vintage, love the look, however so not worth it. I flew to tampa for a hockey game and location was good, we were able to walk to the game. Cons: valet is not Free (some websites say free) when we arrived there were no signs that stated you had to pay for parking and we didn't find out until... More

First I'd like to start by saying I would give this hotel 3 1/2 stars. My husband and I stayed here for one night on a recent weekend trip to Tampa for the Gasparilla half marathon. We spent a lot of time near the convention center area and this hotel is very close to the action. Definitely a great location.... More

The worst hotel i ever been to. The people are rude and the service is not there number one priority. The outside is dirty and trash everywhere. No carts for your luggage so you have to carry everything up stairs. The room was dusty and the window needed a good wash. I do not recommend this hotel to no one.... More

First of all this is a really nice property. It is clean and the furniture is vintage looking but very clean. They have obviously spent a great deal of money on renovations. The people were very friendly and helpful so it seems they have taken care of that little problem. They have shampoo soap and lotion now as well. The... More

It still looked like the hotel was going through renovations and it was not as nice as I thought from the pictures. Room was decent size. Bed and pillows were hard as a rock. It was so uncomfortable. I went to use the gym and it was a joke. First, the gym consisted of 1, yes 1 treadmill, and 1... More
