We stayed not knowing this was an old hospital with quit a history of being haunted. Beautiful. Antique hotel. I would definitely go back. Staff were great. Offered restrooms to the general public for we were there in the hot 92 degree sun waiting for the sunsation tour that evening. Basement was the old morgue. Must go see basement. A... More

I wanted to stay in a hotel that was not a chain like Marriott, Sheraton, etc., and this definitely did not disappoint us! My mom (who was with me) likes old historical buildings that are refurnished, and this building was quite a sight. When you walk in, there are photos of what it looked like beforehand. It took a million... More

Very classy, historical, beautiful, grand yet charming hotel. Converted building owned by Mr. Ybor which this area of town is called due to Mr. Ybor's large tobacco business that used to exist in this downtown part of Tampa called "Ybor City". My room was a classic! A King sized bed with enormous, grand and very attractive glass chandelier above the... More

We stayed in the beautiful hospitality suite. The hardwood floors were stunning as well as the period furnishings. We had French doors leading out to the balcony. The room was clean and had all your modern amenities. I loved when we checked in I had to sign that I wouldn't take the chandelier, which would have looked amazing in our... More

We stayed for our anniversary and loved it. Our room even had a mini iron balcony . Most rooms have 12 foot ceilings ours had a king size bed and hardwood floors. The room was larger than most chain hotel rooms and staff friendly.

Stayed for one night during our anniversary. Great location. Beautiful historic building with lots of character. The staff were very friendly and nice. Gave us instructions on what to see and do in Ybor. The room was clean and nice. My only complaints were 1. very hard uncomfortable and cheap bed. 2. Paper thin walls. We had very rude, neighbors... Well, well. I've been to the Don Vicente a number of times, for an event or a few drinks, and stayed here twice now over the past 3 years. The location is very convenient to walk all of ybor city, like 20 city blocks worth of walking. Awesome restaurants, museums, flower and gift shops, and many. many clubs for dancing...anything... I actually had some trouble finding the hotel driving to it because it didn’t look like a hotel at all and it was located as the only building on a huge parking lot in the middle of the Ybor area. Before entering I did not know anything about the Cuban area of Ybor and the history of the building but... More

Our son and brand new daughter-in-law wisely chose this property as their 'one stop' 'all inclusive' wedding spot. The building itself is elegant and classy, decorated with some of the most beautiful chandeliers and lighting fixtures I have ever seen. The individual rooms were large, most with balconies that you entered by double French doors from your room. They had... More

Just stayed there one night as all of the "name" hotels in Tampa were completely booked up. Took a risk and stayed here - great people at front desk and throughout hotel - room was beautiful - the neighborhood was great - so much better than staying in downtown Tampa.
