We needed a place not too far from Tampa downs. The price wasn't bad and the room was clean, fresh linens no smells or bugs. Beds were comfortable. Could have used more towels in the bathroom as we are a family of 4. But no complaints here. Looked like some renovations have been done.

The first thing that I noticed walking the stairs up to our room, was the smell of urine! The room was average low for the price with a dirty tub and clogged sink. The bed cover had a cigarette burn hole in it and the beds were not well made. The hotel ground was really dirty. Lesson learned!

The place was nice, beds were clean. There were no bugs. My only issue was that it smelled like mildew when we walked into our room. A spray of Lysol took that away quickly. I have stayed at this Red Roof Inn numerous times. Yes, one could quibble about the linens, the bedding, and a few other amenities, but overall I do not think you could find a better deal. Stay here frequently...the staff is going on me and customer service is my main reason for returning to places/remaining loyal. Left room for improvement by only placing 4 stars.
