The good: The service was very good, Rick at the front desk was very nice and helpful, and Captain Larry was very nice and full of knowledge. The lounge had snacks and complimentary "adult" beverages in the evening and a very nice hot breakfast in the morning. Comfy space to relax with tables, TV, computer, and a balcony area. Our room was nice but the lounge was the best part of the hotel for us! more

I have stayed at many hotels on business. But The Sheraton with a water taxi service right at there dock was a great help in getting my group to and from the convention center quickly and fun. I don't think the whole riverwalk thing is happening. Not much going on at night either. The hotel was nice enough, but the location, not so good. If you're just looking for a place to stay for the night, they do have all the amenities of a fine hotel. Add $16 for valet only parking if you drive. more

jan 31 reference 1622 ashley st. grille was charged 44.25 for a 39.50 tab and i tipped 18.00 they took 44.25 that is not right. I booked a deluxe river view room for onenight. While the hotel was well situated, clean and staff were efficient I was not impressed with the value. Specifically I was expecting such basics as a minibar fridge (stocked or unstoked), room safe and decent number of towels. We stayed at the Sheraton after reading many reviews of Tampa hotels. We were extremely happy with our choice - close to Tampa Gen Hospital, which was our reason for staying.
