This is the first time I have posted a review on Trip Advisor. I have stayed at this hotel years ago and they have done no renovation since then. Started off on the wrong foot when the desk wouldn't honour the hotel coupons. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. Not many channels on the television, which also needs updating. The room was a little on the dark side but did the job. Nice location for getting to the Woodlands Gold Club.

After unsatisfying stays at two area Extended Stay America and Homestead properties (one uncomfortable, the other a disaster) I was very pleased to find the Mainstay Suites in Tamarac. Nice property, but kind of strange having it attached to a Comfort Suites at the same location. Nice room, but pretty crowded tiny bedroom with 2 queen beds. If not needing the kitchen and refrigerator facilities, I would recommend choosing the Comfort Suites side instead of the MainStay Suites side.

Hotel is very clean, friendly desk clerks and confortable rooms. Good location, nice breakfast. Service is much better now, it should be under a new management. Good job.

Bad all the way around. Employee at check in rude didn't know the business, had trouble honoring the rate made through choice hotels. Room had damage, old tv's, faucetes in batheroom falling off.
