My wife and I stayed 5 nights here the last week of June and thought it was the perfect location for what we planned. We spent a couple of night in Key West and it was only a 15 minute trip and also visited Marathon which was about 30 minutes away. Rooms were clean, great view, housekeeping was awesome and... More

Couldn't find anything under 300/nt on KW, so we gave them a try on a whim. What a hidden gem! 10 mins from KW, gorgeous location on the water. Retro but maintained decor. Super friendly staff. Tiki bar prices way below avg. Loved my stay here and will return soon. Only warning- lots of locals hang out at the tiki... More

Booked a four night stay. After getting there the place was a dive. Restaurant was closed like for ever needed to be torn down. The rooms had a 70 look that was ok but b the mattress was not a mattress the floors were wet smelled. Stayed one night after all that then the yelling noise and drunks outside our... More

We are so sorry that you had an unpleasant experience at our hotel. We strive to maintain a clean, retro environment and are very sorry that you were dissatisfied with the room. We also apologize for the volume of our other guests, probably due to the live music at our Tiki Bar. The boating access in the lower keys can... More

This motel offers rooms right on the water. The view was great and the pool warm and comfortable. Our daughter turned 21 the day before so the Tiki Bar was a fun place to drop in for a couple drinks. Music played on our second night but when we were early to bed for an early start the next morning...... More

Do not go by name as this is nothing less than a small resort in itself. Right on the road just few miles away from Keywest is situated on nice back waters. The rooms are spacious, clean and all rooms face back waters. You can sit just outside your room, relax and enjoy the beautiful view. People having boats can... More

Sugarloaf Lodge is what the Keys is all about. The rooms are retro, clean and comfortable. The views are amazing. You can park your boat right outside your room and the tiki bar is always a great place for conversation. The marina next door is great with a friendly staff. The only negative is the fact that there is no... More

I love the look of this hotel. Its like keys version of a Mad Men set. It has very tropical decor with all the original retro hardware of a 70s Howard Johnsons. So cute, I loved it. It does have the necessary modern amenities as updated bathroom, flat screen, small fridge. We had a room on the bottom floor that... More

I've been here several times now and The Sugarloaf is basic and dependable. The woman at the front desk is super friendly and accommodating. The room is vintage 1962 Florida Keys. And there are several really good restaurants close by, the Square Grouper being the best and Kaya's coming in a solid second place.
