I was looking for a quiet and safe hotel on Siesta Key for a few days of relaxation for a solo vacation. The manager was so helpful when I phoned to make a reservation and took time to explain the various rooms available at each of the three properties on site. She recommended the newly-remodeled Sandpiper. The room was absolutely... more

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Tropical Sun Resort. They had recently upgraded all rooms and did a fabulous job. Very comfortable bed, nice decor, and a nice full size kitchen. Plenty of space and room for storing belongings. Very close to beach and a pool on the grounds as well. We have stayed at another of Tropical Beach... more

We are very pleased to read that another guest had a great experience at Tropical Sun Beach Resort on Siesta Key. This review stated that all the rooms had been completely remodeled. However, at this time the first nine rooms have been completed with another five scheduled to be done at the end of this summer. The remodeled rooms at...

We saw this hotel on line and read that they had just renovated some of the rooms. Once we saw the pictures of the "Grand Heron" we booked the room for a week to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The room was just as beautiful as the pictures on line depicted. The property is gorgeous with beautiful tropical plants, a very... more

We stayed in one of their newly remodeled rooms, "The Sandpiper", and it was great. The full kitchen with granite counter was state of the art. The furnishings were all tropical and design including the queen size bed which was also very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The two minute walk down to the beach wasn't all... more

Spent four nights with 17 year old son. Staff was friendly. Property is very old but well maintained. Room was clean and no apparent odors. Only complaint was the air conditioner was positioned directly above one of the beds and we had to turn it off when sleeping because of the noise. I do not think the air conditioner was... more

Stayed in a Hideaway Unit (#190) at the Sara Sea Inn part of this Resort. Very clean accomodations with plenty of room ( we were only there for two days and would probably book a larger room for a longer stay ) and great amenities which included 32 inch tv, stove, fridge, microwave, comfortable bed and a small outside sitting... more

My family and I loved this property. It isn't fancy, but they have thought of everything to make the experience great. Our room was an efficiency that had a super comfy king size bed and a futon for our daughter (not very comfortable, but tolerable). The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to cook with. The only negative was... more

Based largely on TripAdvisor reviews, we (2 adults) booked 2 nights at the “Tropical Shores” in Siesta Key – at least, that was what we thought. To make a long story short – be very careful and specific about which property you are actually lodging at. It turns out that the Tropical Shores Resort apparently operates the Tropical Shores Beach... more

We take guest feedback very seriously and were very concerned to read the review written by a recent guest. This guest reserved their accommodation on Expedia which describes Tropical Sun as being a less expensive option offering smaller bathroom areas. Furthermore the websites also go into greater detail of the different price point options. Tropical Sun is a very clean...

This place is absolutely awesome. We only stayed 2 nights but would have loved to stay more. The beach is close and it is wonderful. The sand is great the water is warm and there is a guy on the beach to set up chairs and umbrellas for you. The rooms are adorable and have everything you need. The parking... more

Only stayed for a couple days, but the service was paramount. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make my stay a pleasant one. The pools were great and it was only a 2 minute walk to the beach. I would recommend this resort to anyone with or without kids. Excellent, "AAA" Keep up the good... more
