Fine place, great service, rooms are in need of an upgrade, but overall a great value to stay in a wonderful area. St. Armand's square is not really walking distance, but they do have a free shuttle. Nice heated pools. Plenty of lounge chairs, even in high season.

I had read other lukewarm reviews on Trip Advisor but booked this hotel anyway because it's directly on the beach. And the beach and pool areas are great. Lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas are included in the $25 per day resort fee. But the rooms are motel level -- and worn and rundown. Chipped bathtub, peeling wallpaper -- the room... More

Nice located and friendly staff. After 1 hour in the room, the front desk called if everything is allright. Noisy rooms, you hear your neighbours talking. We were in a room with sea view, very nice. We received a free upgrade from the hotel to the room with sea view.

stayed at this lovely hotel for 10 days with my wife and 3 children our room was situated on the second floor overlooking the sea the room was very clean and so was the hotel staff very friendly, the restaurant served fresh good quality food and worth every penny, the hotel is fairly isolated so having a car is imperative.... The beach location and service was wonderful, the pool was also fantastic. We were given a "no view" room which was on the 3rd floor adjacent to the 3rd level of the parking garage (which sounds awful but the garage was not enclosed on that level) and this was actually an advantage. We could still see the beach and palm... More

Choosing a hotel at Lido Beach , without ever having been there, is no easy task. Based on calendar availability and price , we chose to stay at be a Sandcastle Resort. When we arrived we were given a free upgrade to a beach side room....fantastic! We rearranged the furniture so our table and chairs were facing the sea -... More

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks the first part of February. The property is older, but well maintained. The location is perfect. Located right on the beautiful white sand beach and close to St. Armand's Circle. The rooms were plain, but clean and comfortable. All beachfront hotels are expensive, but we found a good price online, and... More

This hotel is way overpriced. Every year my daughter has a swim meet in Sarasota so we decided to stay the weekend. Unfortunately this year was during Valentines day weekend so all the hotels hiked up their prices. We thought this would be worth the $400 plus per night but it was far from it. The rooms are in need... More

Was very pleased with our 5 day winter break from the cold and snow in Cincinnati. The King room, #357, which faces the Gulf was older but spacious and quite adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate at the coffee shop once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both meals were delicious. We also had a Valentine's Day... More

Lido Beach is a lovely area on Florida's West Coast. The Lido Beach Resort dates back, and frankly I do believe it has not changed much. That being said, it's well kept. Friendly staff. Rooms are old, don't expect luxury, and perhaps it's a good choice if you don't plan on spending much time in your room. There are two... More

Although you mention the Lido Beach Resort, which is down the street, you do describe our resort, the Sandcastle. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, and do hope that when you return you choose the Sandcastle Resort for your accommodations; we would love to have you back. Regards, Eddie S. More
