My wife and I stayed in a beachfront unit on the 10th floor. Total visit was outstanding!! Cannot write enough good stuff about this hotel and the workers. We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Lido Beach Resort. The Good: The location is great, close to St. Armands and right on the beach. This is just a great hotel. It is located directly on Lido Beach. This was our third time staying here, but first time since it became the Lido Beach Resort (formally the Radisson Lido Beach Resort). We love Lido Beach Resort. We travel from Buffalo every year to stay. The staff is so friendly and accomodating. They treat us like family members. Great beach and pool, great location, our 4 year old and 8 year old love it and always meet friends to play with at the pool and/or beach. more

The hotel was booked through a New York agency from Denmark. Checking in, we family of 2 adults and 2 nearly adults, got a standard room at side with view to parking lot and renovating machines on the beach and beds too narrow for 2 adults. My first visit to Sarasota Florida was during 3/09. I stayed at the Lido Beach resort for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff was WONDERFUL ! Literally everyone I came in contact with (whether it was the front desk staff, housekeeping, restaurant and tiki bar employees,etc) went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my stay... more
