My wife and I spent two nights at the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota Florida in February 2015. We stayed at no cost, on points earned through our Hyatt credit card. Every staff person we came into contact with (at least ten) was efficient, accommodating, polite and helpful. From the desk personnel, staff who made up the rooms, servers, personnel running... Here for two nights to see some exhibits and a show. Loved the colorful interior, including guest rooms, and lobby restaurant/bar. Didn't have time to use the pool or rental paddle boats or kayaks. Maybe next time. The pool with waterfall looks like fun. We liked the small, interior balcony on our room -- great place to have a drink... More

Staying here while my wife was attending a conference. The room was spacious enough with a very comfortable mattress. The hotel is a perfect location right in the heart of everything. The pool side was a little tight but there plenty of chairs with a perfect view. Most of all the staff went out of its way to make our... More

Though this location is older than most hotels in the area, it has had updates over the years, while still allowing for an "artsy" type of atmosphere. Its location is good for access to downtown Sarasota, St. Armands Circle and Long Boat Key. They have valet or self parking available too. The lobby is open and inviting, the rooms face... More

This property is a gem. Wasn't overly crowded. Service was excellent, activities offered are beyond expected and the food was great! Front desk acknowledged that it was myself and my husbands anniversary. They were very genuine in expressing interested in our special occasion! Front desk especially! The main restaurant on property offers a breakfast buffet as well as a la... More

I stayed in this hotel for a week,'two rooms with my family. It is a very nice hotel. However I strongly discourage staying here if the trip is business related, or if you plan to receive a message or a package. The front office misplaced a package delivered and signed for by a certain "Gregory" who I later found was... More

I enjoyed my long weekend at the Hyatt. The pool was nice and had a poolside bar, the staff was very friendly and the place was clean. Great buffet breakfast and different price choices. The room was clean had a good view with little balcony and was recently updated.

The added costs of resort fee, whatever that is, car parking and taxes on the whole thing added up to $80 per night on top of the already expensive room rate. The hidden costs make the place untenable for a holiday. Then we had to complain about the room cleanliness which got sorted but overall not a p,easy to experience.... More

We stayed for 5 nights in February. We were able to check into our room early and able to have late departure. The staff from the front desk to cleaning crew were always kind and accomodating. We rented bikes, which was also great, fun places to ride.

This is my first stay at a Hyatt Regency. My first and lasting impression is that it is equivalent to a Sheraton, minus a concierge or a club lounge. There is no special check-in for elite members (despite what they advertise), so you get stuck behind other hotel guests in their flip-flops taking 15 minutes or more to discuss what... More
