I stayed at the sanctuary at redfish on 30-a last 4th of july and am returning this year. I went with several friends last year and we are avid lake campers so the beach was a little out of the norm for us, but boy did we make the right choice. Being on the lake and so near to the grayton nature preserve area was perfect. We would use the provided kayaks (which we usually chose over the complimentary boat shuttle) to get to the beach each day. The private beach is pristine and what i would consider one of the last truly "quiet" beaches of 30-a. The unit was decorated 10 times better than any unit i have ever stayed in, including all of the ones in sandestin. The complimentary beach chairs were great, and the pool seemed to be at the wrong property when considering its "resort" style quality. Local yuppie night life within minutes...no need to drive into destin for people watching. Plenty of privately owned eateries nearby, as well. more
