I really hate telling folks how nice it is here. I want to keep it a secret. The only thing that would make it even better would be better bedding. The cabins are great and private. There is no TV ( thank goodness) and the area is really quiet. We loved the beach and the surrounding woods. I would recommend... More

We stayed for a few nights and loved our cabin and the beach. The cabin was fantastic, with private screened porch, BBQ grill, and rocking chairs. Inside was clean, the whole family was comfortable. Short walk to the beach was enjoyable. The beach itself was beautiful - white sand, not crowded in the slightest. Park staff was friendly. Can't wait... More

My family decided to take a weekend trip to the beach. We stayed just two nights at the cabins. The cabins are a couple miles from the public state park. When you drive in you have a code for the gate and it is probably a mile to the cabins. They are duplex setups with two bedrooms, a bath with... More

Nestled in the woods between Sandestin and Watercolor, you can leave your cares behind once you key in the code to the gated cabin area. The beaches and dunes are sugar white and the wildlife plentiful. No traffic can be heard and you will find yourself napping peacefully at the beach. The cabins are basic, a little sparse on the... Just returned from a three night stay. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to make this a yearly family tradition. The area is absolutely gorgeous. Stayed in cabin 15A. Very private. The screened in porch faced a beautiful wooded area. As others have said, the beach is just for people staying at the cabins and wasn't crowded... More

We stopped there on our way to Disney to spend the night and visit with our daughter, her husband and our beautiful grandchildren. They had rented a cabin there for a week. The cabin was really nice and had everything in there that was needed. There was a nice roomy screened porch with a swing and rocking chairs. It was... More

The cabins are nice and very clean. We just had a short walk down a little road to the beach where we often were one of the few groups there. Super clean beach! Great to have a kitchen and outdoor grill. The only downside (and it's not necessarily a negative) was that were had little to no cell phone reception.... More

Our family of 6 just returned from a one week stay in cabin #12B at Grayton Beach State Park. The cabin was clean, extremely quiet, and within walking distance of the most pristine beach we've ever seen. The cabin area is gated, with private beach access, and you often feel like you have the whole beach to yourself. Our only... More

Stayed in a cabin 2 nites. There is gated access to reach the cabins and you are given a security code at check-in. The beach is a short drive or 15-20 min walk away from the cabin. Really loved the private beach for cabins only, very private. No lifeguard but has beach flags showing water conditions. No pets allowed on... More

This state park is accessed from designated Scenic Highway 30A, in Santa Rosa Beach, FL (the "panhandle"), about halfway between Destin and Panama City Beach. If you desire peace and quiet, walking and biking trails, state forests, and pristine beach, you will be in the right place here. If you want fast food, beach stores with buckets and trinkets, chain... More
