My husband and I just got back from staying a whole week at the Palm View Inn on Sanibel Island, FL. We stayed in the Hideaway cottage. It felt like home, but with a gentle, tasteful tropical feel. The full kitchen was great, a real money saver. The inn has free washer and dryer for guests, a thoughtful amenity. The... more

My husband and I followed a thread on one of the sites we use to help us choose places to stay and tried this little gem of place. Just a short walk to the beach (beach chairs & towels supplied) and great bike rides (bikes supplied) around the island. It was nice to have the kitchen, although they do need... more

My wife and I stayed in the Creole Garden Suite for a weekend at the end of May. We loved our suite. Some of the rooms are stuck in the 1960's; but that was part of the charm. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short stay. Sure, a small pool would have been nice, but... more

My husband, two teenagers, and adult daughter spent 5 nights in mid-March 2008 at the Palm Retreat. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law had the Pirate's Cove just across from us. Our experience was positive...we had everything we needed, including a spacious kitchen , which is a plus with 7 people eating together. The units are cheerfully decorated and we found the... more

My Fiancee and I just returned from Sanibel Island, and we stayed at the Palm View Inn in the Pirates Cove. We really enjoyed our stay and the room. It had all the amenities we were looking for. The only cons were that they did not offer coffee, maid service, and the outside grill;s cover was loose and close to... more

If you're considering staying at the Palmview Inn Motel, there are definitely some pro's & con's. When I was there in mid-March, the room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the location was handy to Sanibel & the Ding Darling refuge. I found only two con's -- one minor & one significant. First, there was no dining/kitchen table and... more

I would like to amend a statement I made in an earlier review about the PalmView, regarding the general neglect of the place when we last stayed there in 2006. Although we did not stay at the PalmView on our most recent trip (Jan. 08), we did stay nearby. We noticed the owners of the PalmView made a considerable effort... more

My partner and I just returned from 4 nights at the Palmview and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Pirate room (it's huge with a seperate bedroom) . Easy to bike everwhere, ans the beach is just down the street. Great food at all the resturants we tried ( and believe me we tried a lot). The manager... more

The Palm View Inn is an affordable motel just a three-minute walk from the famous Sanibel beaches. With only six units, this little gem is quiet and unpretentious. Each unit is equipped with a complete kitchen, and a washing machine and dryer are available to guests. You can enjoy privacy if you wish, or sit in the sunshine with other... more

We spent 5 nights in the Caloosa suite, winter rate $165.00 a night. We have been going to Sanibel, twice a year, for the past 22 years and found that the PalmView offers everything that we need while we are staying on the Island. The efficiency offers a spacious kitchen with all of the amenities that one would need to... more
