My husband and I stayed at the Island Inn in Sanibel for 4 wonderful days. From check in to check out the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was just as described on the website and super clean. The grounds where perfect and again super clean. Sanibel is incredible perfect place to kayak, bike, walk, relax, and of... More

We spent 5 days there, and we wished it could have been longer. We stayed in the Starky lodge with our 3 kids. The room was spacious, and the kitchen allowed us to fix meals in the room to keep from having to eat out every meal (the provided breakfast did too). The room was clean and quiet. The people... We were just married on the beach at the Island Inn. The renovations on the site are amazing, Our Room in Kimball was awesome, the direct access to the beach and the screen porch are the best!! So Romantic!! KUDOS to the entire staff!! Everyone was so helpful and nice. Glory, the on-site wedding planner, She did such a wonderful... More

My husband and is stayed here with our thirteen year old son. It was a perfect get-a-way for spring break, a real find. We have stayed in numerous other beach resorts, but nothing compares to the authentic beach experience this little inn provides. It has everything you need without the fuss of many resorts. The rooms are clean, spacious, and... More

Had a great week staying at The Island Inn. The location was perfect for us. We loved being away from the congested areas of the Island. Restaurants, groceries and shops as well as the JN Ding Refuge were all within easy biking distance. Our room overlooked the ocean. The beaches were beautiful and went on endlessly. Shelling was incredible with... More

My teenaged son and I stayed at the Island Inn for 2 days during the first week of April. We had spent 2 days at the Pink Shell Resort in Fort Myers beach prior to coming to Sanibel. We loved the low key atmosphere of Sanibel. The island itself is very focused on nature preservation and I never saw a... More

This is a good place to go for awesome shelling on beautiful Sanibel Island. The beach was so full of shells that it was painful to walk on the beach in bare feet. The Tuesday morning Beach Walk with a local shell expert was extremely interesting. The room in the Kimball Bldg had a great view of the beach and... More

The Island Inn is located on one of the best beaches I have ever experienced. The shelling is great! Because the inn has a lot of beach per guest, even during spring break season it never felt crowded or noisy. The beach is THE reason to come here. This is not a resort. The pool is small, there are few... More

We stayed at the Island Inn this past week with our three kids. We had two rooms on the ground floor, which was really nice because we would just run back and forth to the beach just by going out our patio door. They have a pool that is on the smaller size, it would be nice if it were... More

The hotel is old and very sweet, lovely positon over looking the sea. Because it is old you can hear toilets flushing and showers running in the next room. The rooms were clean and pleasant. We did eat in the restaurant which was very busy but not really to our taste. The food was overlooked and on the expensive side.
