I was looking for a great view of the beach and a quiet place to stay. I was thrilled with West Wind. It was clean and quiet with a great view. The front staff was great and helped me with many questions. Added bonus of being near the Darling Refuge. I will return! more

The West Wind makes you feel like your in Aruba. It is the only hotel directly on the beach with tiki bar, restaurant, for the best prices ever! The good news is that the grounds are gorgeous. The bad news is that the rooms are not updated at all. There was mold in the bathroom. Trash in the breezeway. Very disappointed. more

First trip to Sanibel area and was very pleased overall with the hotel. The west wind inn is more like a motel/hotel set up. We had first floor rooms near the washing machine area which was a little bit of an eyesore and noise problem early morning. We had 3 rooms with 5 kids so we were up early anyways.... more

The West Wind does not disapoint! The location was great for the beach. You can rent chairs and an umbrella for the day but we bought some cheap chairs from a local store for ~16 dollars and they served the trick.
