We stayed for 6 nights in September; our 3rd visit to Song of the Sea in the past year and a half. I don't understand those who have posted reviews saying bad things about the hotel, because we have found it to be clean and charming on every visit. The rooms look exactly as portrayed in pictures. Someone posted on... more

My husband and I spent 3 nights there the beginning of October. Hotel is in a very good location with a nice beach and plenty of lounge chairs set up. The room itself was ok. We had a suite and the living area was rather large, but the bedroom was small with barely any room to walk around the bed.... more

We recently returned from our stay at Song of the Sea on Sanibel Island. We go there every year to celebrate our anniversary. It is a quiet little hotel to get away from our busy lives and reconnect. The rooms are nice with a kitchenette including microwave and range. Daily housekeeping service is provided and they do a good job.... more

Song of the Sea gulf view rooms are just right for a relaxing trip for two. The small (30 room) hotel is in the 'old Florida style,' quaint two story buildings, pink wrought iron furniture and lizards, frogs and pretty umbrellas to make your time a nice celebration. To top it off, when we arrived a lovely bottle of wine... more

A beautiful little 30 room hotel right on the beach. Almost European in style. The grounds were lush and environmentally friendly with gorgeous natives lining the short boardwalk to the beach, which had chairs and umbrellas set up.The staff treated me like family!! My room had beautiful tiled floors-no worries about sand or dripping swimsuits. It had a full kitchen.... more

I don't know why someone would give this inn a negative review. I have traveled extensively all over the world, and this is just the type of place I was looking for....I am tired of the cookie cutter, massive hotels that feel like you are in an artificial world. At times we felt we had the whole place to ourselves,... more

I made the reservations via the web from the LXR website. Knowing many of the fine LXR resorts I didn't think I would have to worry about the quality of the hotel. "What a Mistake" I checked the room out before we checked in and told the front desk person we did not want to stay here. She gruffly said... more

We stayed at song of the seas for my brother inlaws 40th birthday. The staff was great but the rooms were horrible. Our room was very out dated and had stains on the floor as well as our bedspread. I would not recomend this resort. The pictures of the hotel are out dated as well on their website. more

We booked Song of the Sea for our Sanibel stay based on previous reviews. Everything was fine except for the beds which could definitely use some updating. Pretty soft and very 'squishy'. Bathroom could have used better lighting, but they are a green hotel so they're using those low voltage lights which cast a very yellow glow... Our room was... more
