We stayed in room 2, King size sleep number bed Clean mid century decor. Free wi-fi, flat screen tv. Carts, beach umbrella's, chairs, all available on site! Short walk to the beach. 1 block over and down about 2 blocks. We would definitely come back!!

Where is the Florida of the Highwaymen paintings? Much of it is sunk under the concrete exclusive private villas and ugly condominium/vacation complexes. The Parrot Nest, however, is a welcome exception to the concrete pastel jungle of development. Located in a quiet neighborhood of Sanibel, the 1950 era motel has several one story buildings circling a central garden. The room... More

We stayed in the little cottage - separate building. Even though it was small, it was very cute and cozy! About 7 minute walk to the beach - across the street. We truly enjoyed the visit. Very quiet and relaxing.

For anyone who has ever went to the Parrot Nest in Sanibel Island, I am sure you will agree with my assessment. We returned there again this year as in the past 7 years, only to find that Brenda and Lenny were no longer there as the Innkeepers. They were so warm and friendly and no matter what the need... I have worked on Sanibel Island for over 15 years in the small Inn and motel industry.I also worked many years ago at Parrot Nest(with the owner before now) and am very excited to be back (December 2014) it's kind of full circle for me. I must also say at this point, I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion... More

This is a sort of quirky quiet island motel with no on site staff. We enjoyed it very much indeed, but if you want on site managers this is not the place for you. We were in Room 5 which was huge, recently renovated I would say, with a very good king bed, well equipped kitchen and a good bathroom.... More

I really want to say that everything is wonderful here as in stays several years ago but something just isn't in synch. The location is great since it's on the West end of the island and away from the congestion and noise. Lighthouse Café, ice cream store and West End Deli are within extremely easy walking distance. But, something's missing... More

Stayed here in January 2014. Nice sized room, helpful staff (when you can locate them) but the place is tired, like most of the cottages in the area. Good value for money, spacious rooms with full size fridge. Appliances are noisy. There might be better places for the price but I enjoyed my time here.

This is a lovely place. We have stayed there the past 8 years. But this year we when we went we were told the inn keepers would not be coming back! What a HUGH mistake on the owners part. We have only returned to this lovely spot because of the care takers. Brenda and Lenny became like family. Because of... More
