We've stayed at Sandestin often in the past and just got home from a week there. The positives: gorgeous beach and water. You will not find a combination of sugar white sand beaches and turquoise colored clear water anywhere else in the United States except the Florida Panhandle. The next closest place to find water like this is the Florida... More

The included amenities are far worth the low price we payed for our suite. We had a view of the beach and a short walk to get there. Other hotels in the area wanted more $$$ and we would have had to drive to the beach everyday. The suite only offered a kitchenette (mini-fridge/sink/microwave/toaster) so to keep our costs down... As a business traveler stayin in the Grand Hotel, I found myself stranded in one small part of the resort, unable to get to outside amenities or the beach. There is a "tram" that runs at certain times of the day, but is slow, unreliable, and infrequent. The concierge in my hotel told me that the tram would stop at... More

Sandestin was recommended to us by some friends, and so we decided to go and stay for a few days in mid-June. We had a good time and really enjoyed the property and all that it has to offer. Overall, Sandestin had the feel of a 5-star resort, but we found the customer service short of what you would expect... More

We've been visiting Sandestin each summer with this being our 7th year. Sandestin is a great place for a young family and the beaches are beautiful. We've stayed in Luau for the past few years, and have been pleased. BUT, this year when we checked in we were not made aware of a change that the new ownership has made.... More

The Luau is a wonderful building at Sandestin - it has the best pool at the resort (none of the others come close), and it is a short walk to the beach. But we encountered such poor service on this stay. One bathroom let out a sewer smell that overwhelmed the entire condo. We called "at your service" several times... More

My wife and I have 2 kids, 12 and 8. We wanted to take a roadtrip to a beach destination from KC Mo. We heard Destin had some of the best beaches so we decided to give it a try. At first glance we noticed that there were 3 main areas, Ft Walton, Destin, and San Destin. This was my... More

Amazing complex. We stayed in Unit 4041 at Beachside 1 for Memorial Day week with all of our family (6 adults). The unit was perfect. The beach was amazing and we couldn't have had a more perfect experience. The young adults thoroughy enjoyed Baytowne Whart. The resort is immaculate. We constantly saw somebody cleaning something....they take great pride in ownership... More

My husband and I stayed here for a business conference. We had a 1 bedroom suite in the Grand Sandestin. I liked the idea of having everything in walking or cycling distance. The room was very nice. Decor was modern, it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and 2 bathrooms. We arrived to check in... More

Went on a business trip and brought the family. Stayed on the beachside. Beautiful water and sand and well maintained pool. Hotel was clean and room was comfortable. Biggest complaint is too much outlay even for a resort type setting. Over $500/night should have more perks than this...overpriced poolside drinks, no break on beach chair rentals, minimal free kayak/bike rentals.... More
