We recently stayed the weekend. First Room: 1. Door lock broken. 2. Filthy stains on floor. 3. Smelled like cigarette smoke. 3. Air hardly cooled. Second Room: 1. STUNK! Third Room. 1. Overall Cleaner. 2. Filthy Carpets. 3. Toilet had black mold ring. 4. Top of bathroom tile was actually black from dirt. 5. Took three trips to the front... More

We chose to stay during St Pet Pride 2012 and proved to be a great exoerience. Comfortable but basic rooms but onsite shops, restaurant and clubs were great. Nice pool and staff was helpful. Loved the 70's/80's music in the dance club on Saturday. Great band by the pool and drag shows too. Lots of fun and no need to... More

The rooms need updating, and the staff need to pay more attention to their PAYING guests. Calling ths place a resort is a bit of a stretch. Carpet filthy, linens cheap, and bathroom grotty. At $140 a night (Pride Weekend)they need to lift their game, , It is the busiest time, but most of the staff were pretty unprofessional and... More

I don't care what "953traveler" said, my cost for the memorial day weekend was $399.00 for stinky room with nasty carpet, a piece of sheet that was tucked on the bed with holes and no chance of being able to take my own drinks or food to the pool area. Also, several people that were quoted $59 a night arrived... More

I recently stayed at the resort over the holiday weekend of 2011 and 2012. There were no improvements that I recogonized since my last stay. The carpets in the rooms need to be cleaned or replaced (filthy). The staff is not the most connecting with it's customers and needs to improve customer relations, especially at the front desk. The room... More

Please read the comments by “953Traveler” on APR 15, 2012. I couldn’t have said it better myself… I also try to support the Gay community as much as possible and have been burned more than a few times… but The Flamingo has a lot going for it, the rooms are much nicer than the old Suncoast Resort that was just... We stayed here in February and the rooms were so dirty and carpeting so filthy our feet were black. We asked for a different and clean room, but discovered when we were leaving for dinner that the door would not lock. They tried to fix it, but couldn't so we were going to have to move rooms again. We left.... More

Cheap place to drink. Travelers beware that this is a Gay and Lesbian resort.

Let's face it, the GLBT Community is, by and large, a picky bunch. Nit-picky and persnickity and very difficult to please. We are the standard bearers for great hospitality and superior service, amenities and luxury. There is not one single Gay Resort in the world that lives up to those standards. Not one. So the Flamingo is NOT a disappointment,... More
