My husband and I just had our first trip to Florida together. St. Pete's is now our go-to spot, thanks in large part to this great hotel. The location, comfort, charm and incredible affordability of the Pier Hotel tops the list of our requirements for accommodations. And speaking of accommodating .....the staff is warm and helpful. The afternoon wine hour... more

Someone wrote that this was one of the best hotels they've ever stayed at. I assume they have done all of their previous traveling in Siberia. I was there three nights and, on the third day, had to ask to have my sheets changed for the first time. The 19" television was manufactured by "Admiral" and had the picture quality... more

So I'll say the best things first: this historic hotel had a charming lobby, free happy hour, a small but sufficient continental breakfast, free parking, and the location in downtown St. Pete is great. Now to the not so great parts of this review...no elevator, which I knew in advance, but not even a ramp to get into the hotel.... more

It is our policy not to dispute any review, unless it is factually wrong so I wanted to clarify that we are not able to become ADA compliant due to the fact that the hotel was built in 1921 and is a historic landmark. The outside cannot be changed due to the government restrictions of being a historic building. We...

I traveled to St. Pete's in February for business and stayed at this quaint and charming hotel. It's definitely not for people who prefer modernity. This is certainly a hotel with vintage character! My room was not huge, but the colors were very Floridian, and everything was very clean. The continental breakfast in the morning was predominantly carbohydrates, but a... more

This hotel is very, very old (no elevator) so we had to lug our bags up two flights of stairs. The bathrooms are very small and the shower curtain hanging above a claw foot bathtub was difficult (no rails to grasp if needed). It was very warm on the 3rd floor and our room window was literally 10 feet from... more

I was *really* looking forward to my stay at The Pier Hotel mostly because of all the positive reviews I had read. I ignored the ridicule and laughs from the desk staff as I walked out the door to get my luggage -- as a burn survivor, I hear it all the time (though seldom from people in the service... more

As the owner of the Pier Hotel I was horrified when I read this review and angry that someone on my staff may have done this. When I checked who the guest was I immediately contacted the General Manager to find out what happened. Here is what I found. The person who checked him in was my Guest Services Manager...

I stayed in the hotel at the recommendation of a friend while traveling on business. Nice property - the staff was courteous but unobtrusive. Another reviewer complained about the A/C units - mine was no noisier than the one in Courtyard by Marriott (Marriott Village, Lake Buena Vista, FL) that I stayed in the previous night. more

An absolute GEM!.. Stayed there for 3 days each, in two consecutive weekends in a row, and was delighted with every aspect of this renovated boutique hotel. (The once upon a time Cordova Hotel.) The "old-time" elegance and faultless attention to detail was a breath of fresh air. The location is extremely convenient to all the downtown attractions, shopping, art... more

The location of this hotel is right by the pier, as the name suggests, and close to the downtown area. They also have convenient parking and a very friendly staff. They have an evening happy hour with free beer and wine, and their front porch is a nice relaxing place to chill out after working. They don't have an elevator,... more

I went with my boyfriend to St pete for a job interview and we choose The Pier Hotel because of its location. We stayed for 3 nights. Check in was easy - we were prepaid on travelocity. We got a room on the first floor with 2 double beds. they were out of king but that ok. I really enjoyed... more
