We stayed for Labor Day weekend and had a lot of fun. Very nice place to stay, quiet, clean premises, friendly staff. Great for either stay at the campground and relax or take a short drive to the beach or boat ramp. Highly recommended.

We stayed for the Labor day weekend. Close to everything. Very friendly environment within all campers and staff. Lot of things to do even if you want to stay at the campground and relax or take a short drive to the beach. Clean premises. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here a few times and totally loved it. Camping , lots of water and lots of trees. Pier, bait shop, canoes, day trips and much more. Very peaceful and quiet. One of our favorite campgrounds for sure. Definitely would recommend to family and friends. Can not wait for our next vacation at Fort de Soto.

We stayed over a weekend. We had a pull-thru site next to the bathhouse. If we go again we would want a waterfront site. It was very hot and I think we would have had a breeze if by the water. Campsites are very hard to get there so you need to book way in advance and avoid the weekends... More

We had site 223, and our view of the bay was obstructed somewhat by the mangroves, but it was still lovely. We stayed Sun-Wed and it was quiet all day and at night. We were 2 sites away from restroom 6, which was perfect. Facilities are very clean. You can't swim in the water, but we waded ankle-deep to cool... More

It is a fantastic campground with all kinds of things to do! The campsites were very nice and the beach was beautiful! We will definitely be coming back here!!!!!! There are lots of racoon's but they didn't bother anything and were so cute!

We booked literally the LAST waterfront campsite (#38) several weeks before our trip in the section that only allows tents or small pop-ups. So while I knew that meant it was a popular campground, I wasn't sure I was getting that great of a spot. Turns out it was fabulous. Huge grassy area in the back and a perfect spot... More

This was our very first time at this campground. Check in was very fast and easy. The ranger at the desk checking us in was extremely nice and knowledgeable. We stayed in area 2 for pop-ups, vans, etc. Not much room at all to even back our little pop up camper into the site. There was hardly enough room in... More

I grew up on the Tampa Bay and have been camping at this campground since I was a kid. First off, Fort De Soto Park itself is amazingly beautiful. It has some of the most gorgeous stretch of beach in Florida. The running/biking trails, BBQ pavilions, pier, historic fort, dog beach and sights to see are some of the best... More

Fort De Soto is a quiet, clean county park in the most congested county of Florida. We camped here for three nights in the month of July which was very hot during the day but cooled down nicely during the night. Their restrooms and showers are clean but not updated. You are just 2 miles from undisturbed natural beaches. If... More
