We were looking for a place on or close to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants. I also wanted a room that could accommodate the 5 of us since we had kids along I really didn't want them in a seperate room. We stayed at Alden beach and got exactly what was written about it in the trip advisor One more added thing this hotel had the most , hard working staff I had ever seen which was great excellent. tch more

We've stayed at the Alden 3 times over the last 5 years - overall- perfect for a nice, inexpensive (if you go through Expedia or similar site), relaxing family vacation. It's quiet, family-oriented, great location- right on beach, right by good shopping, way close to St. Pete and Tampa if you want a day away from beach stuff, see museums,... more
