The Grayl's Hotel is a funky hotel built in the 1920's and located in downtown St. Petersburg. The location couldn't be better. It's close to restaurants and right across the street from the park. Our room was light-filled and spacious. There was a small kitchenette area plus a dressing room with a makeup table! We didn't mind the artificial flowers... more

I absolutely loved this place. The hotel was so beautiful. We stayed in the Deluxe waterfront suite. My husband surprised me with a romantic getaway for our first anniversary. The staff went above & beyond to make our stay memorable. The room was designed so beautifully and made us feel right at home. The decor of the hallways & bar... more

I was very disappointed, I have stayed here many times before and it was wonderful! I had a roach in my kitchen on the second day which was basically ignored as they said as long as it was dead it was ok. Not okay with me. Also there was lots of construction going on, no problem except that my view... more

We are SO thrilled we found this hotel. The room rate was similar to "chain" hotels, but staying at Grayl's made our short visit like a romantic little getaway. Everyone involved with Grayl's from the owner to the receptionist bent over backward to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The room was fabulous with a little kitchen with a... more

We were in the process of relacating to the Tampa area and stayed at Grayl's during the long weekend. We fell in love with the area! This hotel is located in a perfect location in downtown St. Petersburg within walking distance to everything that you might want. It's almost next door to the Venoy and the pier. The staff there... more

While I anticipated this to be a one-of-a-kind experience, and certainly not your typical everyday chain hotel, the Grayls Hotel far surpassed my expecations. Built in 1922 so it has all the character in the world. Very well refurbished, renovated, maintained and cleaned. The details in the decor really display the extra care they take in trying to preserve the... more

Needed a place to stay when the Vinoy Hotel my conference was booked at was full. Grayl's was a very short walk away. Booked a third floor room facing the water and was very pleased with the view and amenities. The room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. Glad I got into a waterfront room. The little breakfast area was... more

When we stopped in the hotel to see if they had any rooms available the furniture in the two bar/reception areas in the front were pulled out, and there were workers on ladders touching up paint etc. I asked if the construction was going to continue all weekend (we were staying Thursday-Sunday). I was told no-it wasn't construction just cleaning... more

Grayls was one of the 3 hotels recommended by my aunt who lives just a block away and it was by far the most reasonably priced ($168 including tax). I was sceptical about the hotel's age, but was delighted from the moment I entered my room. I booked a waterfront deluxe room and was put in #201. There were sets... more

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. While the overall location of the hotel is good, there are too many negatives about this hotel to even consider staying there again. We experienced some of the worst customer service from the staff and management as well as very questionable if not unethical business tactics. My husband and I booked a... more
