I stayed at Dickens Family Inn with the my wife and son while we were attending a conference at the nearby Vinoy Hotel. The owner, Ed, was courteous and hospitable. I would highly recommend this B&B for the following reasons: 1) Clean - our room was clean and well maintained as was the entire premises. 2) Welcoming - Ed is... More

My colleagues and I recently stayed with Ed at his quaint Bed & breakfast, and without a doubt it was a wonderful visit. From the moment I walked through the beautiful door until the time I left, my visit was simply wonderful. The Inn itself was beautifully & masterfully restored to reflect the coziness & style of the arts &... More

Yes, the house is designed beautifully. Yes, our room (the Cottage Suite) was adorable with VERY comfortable beds (my back issues usually prevent me from ever feeling comfortable).. Yes, the breakfasts were delicious. But what struck me more than any of this was Ed's caring nature. My sister has severe chronic pain and had gone sharply downhill the past year.... More

If you are looking for a small (this place only has 5 rooms in the main house) B&B with a TON of character and charm, with a great location as well, then this place has is it! This is not your standard chintz and toile filled B&B but a more warm Arts and Crafts styled design. It is located blocks... More

Our host Ed Caldwell, was warm and welcoming; B&B had a gorgeous lush exterior, inviting patio out back, old world interior, beautiful Cottage Room with a homey feel. Upstairs in the back of the home, peaceful looking out onto the patio and into bamboo added to privacy. Tera cotta tiling in the bathroom, and delcious and elegant breakfasts. Fabulous conversations!... More

My husband and I stayed here in March and would highly recommend it. It is an historic house which has been beautifully restored and decorated (in an Craftsman/Stickley style) by Ed Caldwell, the owner. The house is in an historic district full of lovely and interesting old homes (great to walk around in) and is within walking distance of the... More

We headed down to St. Petes for r&r. The Dickens House was perfect! We stayed in the cracker suite which suited us to a tttttttt! The room for the kid was in a separate room connected to the main bedroom... and there was a private bath. The breakfasts were prepared as if a chef was preparing them! The tempura fried... More

My husband and I stayed here on a business trip. Our original plan was to stay at a standard hotel in Tampa but, wanting a more personal experience, we found this place online at the last minute and booked it. We loved our stay. The Dicken's House is nestled in the historical district of St. Petersburg and a just quick... More

We really enjoyed Dickens House. Ed was a great innkeeper, and does a great breakfast. The Inn is a few minute walk from the waterfront in St. Petersburg, and close to all the shops and restaurants. We felt very comfortable coming and going, and Ed was a great guide to places to see and eat. We are definitely coming back.
