My 2 sisters and I do a weekend winter escape each year to a different town. This was our first time in St. Petersburg, and we loved the Dickens House. It's the best B&B we've stay in - by far! We spent 3 nights there in the Cottage Suite - perfect for three (a queen & a single bed with... More

We stayed at the Dickens House last week for 2 nights and found it to be a very nice Bed and Breakfast indeed. Tastefully decorated for the holidays was added plus. Ed the proprietor is very familiar with the area, including restaurants, and can assist in planning your day events. Located within walking distance of several tourist attractions, and what... More

Everything about the Dickens House B & B is fabulous. Ed, the innkeeper, has not only meticulously restored his beautiful arts and crafts home, but also has applied this meticulousness to every aspect of a guest's stay. . . the greeting at the door, the rooms, the breakfast. We stayed in the smallest room, but it still was very pleasant.... More

I was referred to Dickens House by a colleague, we travel together for business occasionally and she had stayed there previously. What a refreshing change from the usual corporate hotel, and for Florida, the price was great. Dickens House is perfectly comfortable, my room had everything I needed as a business traveler. I must admit, my colleague and I worked... More

We were in need of a restful relaxing vacation. We were very happy with the Dickens House as it provided us with exactly that. Great location and very well kept and clean rooms with interesting/lovely decor. We will definitely include Dickens House in future travel plans to the St. Petersburg area.

Ed Caldwell has created a home perfect for anyone who likes a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. His attention to what you need is excellent. We were 5 couples filled with laughter and a desire to have fun as well as... More

Overall this B&B was lovely - breakfasts were great, and the room was very nice....however one of our fellow guests decided to have a bath at around 1am which woke us up so i guess the rooms are not sound proofed. I guess my only other flaw with this place is compared to other places we had stayed in florida... More

Dickens House is located in a beautiful ,quiet neiborhood within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, and live music. The building is beautiful and decorated with exquisite taste. The rooms are unique and spacious. . The best part of the experience is Dickens House inkeeper and owner, Ed. He is full of stories and anecdotes and will make you feel at... More

Stayed a few nights and found this inn to be well-located as it is situated near 2 great beaches, Passe-a-Grille and Fort de Soto. I know this place has received accolades from this site as well as others, and my expectations were high. In some instances the inn fell short. I'll start with the positives: 1. the property is lovingly... More

My mother and I ventured to St. Petersburg for a 3-night stay to explore the town and celebrate our birthdays. After being unable to book the Don Cesar Hotel for our trip, I searched the web for B&B's and was captured by this fabulous 1920's Arts & Crafts era home that innkeeper and owner Ed Caldwell lovingly restored to its...
