Our weekend staycation was perfect at the Keystone motel. Our room had a great view of the pool and the beach. The bathroom was beautiful and brand new! The pool was clean and never too crowded. The service is amazing, when I booked our room they also offered to make us a reservation at the Hurricane (which they also own).... more

I returned for my second trip to the Keystone and it was every bit as good as the first. This time I brought my sister to see it and she also fell in love with it. The atmosphere and location are priceless so I don't know how people can complain about the little things. I hope to fit another trip... more

The perfect beach motel offering clean rooms, nice pool and an unobstructed view of the gulf! Mary, the owner, is delightful! She treated us like family. It was our first stay there but definitely not our last....we really enjoyed it! more

I've been traveling to St Pete Beach and Pass-a-Grille for years and have stayed at the Keystone a couple of times. The motel itself is fine. No complaints at all. It's always clean and the location can not be beat. It's literally 3 steps to The Hurricane (great restaurant) and across the street from the beach. The sunsets on Pass-a-grille... more

I would definitely go back to the Keystone in a heartbeat! After reading the more negative reviews, I think some of them have some merit whereas some just sound a little snobby. The Keystone Motel is not a Holiday Inn or a Marriott, so don't expect a huge lobby with continental breakfast, round-the-hour coffee, or the other luxuries that come... more

I have been going to St Pete beach for years and had discovered the Keystone some 4 years ago. First, you can most certainly go and reserve much nicer rooms in a much nicer hotel, but your gonna pay much nicer prices (hundreds more for oceanfront) and deal with hords of people everywhere and tons of traffic. Sure it not... more

A group of us stayed there in March, mainly because of the great location. But, that was it. Our rooms were not made available until 6:30 at night and once we got into the rooms they were dirty. It looked like no one vaccumed in weeks, the beds are ancient, the bedspread had a big pee stain on it, and... more

Yes, it is across the street from the beach....but that's as good as it gets. It is an old hotel with all the problems that come with that, such as small bathrooms and no elevator, but the management is the biggest problem. I wonder if they have ever stayed in another hotel to compare their property to. This "hotel" does... more

My boyfriend (now fiance) and I drove down from Illinois to see friends during spring break 2007. We were in the St. Pete area for a few days before going down to Siesta Key. We happened to stop at the Hurricane to grab lunch and have drinks on the top deck. It was wonderful just to sit up there and... more

Our family (2 adults & 2 9yr old girls) stayed at the Keystone Motel over Christmas 2008. We were thrilled with the personal service, the location and basically everything else. The location to local restaurants, the Merry Pier and the beach is unbeatable. At night time the sound from nearby restaurants playing music could be heard from our unit, but... more
