Have stayed on two occasions in this inexpensive, sparse, spacious 2 double bed hotel room while on birding trips to St. Mark's National Wildlife Estuary and other nearby locations. On a Lovely river with boat launch, onsite grocery, outdoor playground and BBQ grills, cabins or hotel rooms in the quaint historic Florida town of St. Marks. The onsite managers make... More

The cabins are very nice inside. The staff very friendly. We don't fish but we enjoyed this place. It is close to town that has a few good places to eat. You can walk but we rode bikes on the trail. This place is perfect for bikers! We even road at night. With lights of course.

Nothing fancy by any means but it was a place to park the camper and fish. The owner(I guess) was friendly and the campers were great, Met some nice people. Some sat with us while we grilled and one even went into st marks with us for drinks. They have a store with bait and some essentials. Not many options... More

Stayed for 3 nights at the Shell Island Fish Camp to go fishing with 3 friends. We stayed in the motel which is basic but very clean and has everything in good condition. The office staff was helpful and very friendly. Everyone we saw made a point of saying good morning or good evening. The rooms have a small dorm... More

We were double booked at our original lodgings and fortunately able to secure two rooms here at short notice. The people on reception in the camp "general store" were real friendly and the rooms were adjoining which was even better for us. Unfortunately they only had smoking rooms available but in actual fact they were fine. The fish camp has... More

The place was clean, affordable, with a nice and easy going staff. The location is great for fishing and water/river activities with a great wildlife! Nothing fancy but perfect for an overnight stay for me and my husband.

I love fishing and if that was what my visit was for would have probably stayed. The staff seemed nice. The place was busy. We were given a cabin, as requested, but was told there were no keys? You can only lock the door when you are inside. Decided not to stay. Like I said, fishing trip,,,, would be a... More

The Park Model was cramped for five (room meant for 4 people) but it certainly met our needs for one night and we couldn't beat the price. The beds were comfortable, AC was cold and the water was hot. What more could you ask for? It's a fish camp. We had several questions about kayaking the Wakulla river and the... More

I stayed here for several nights at the end of March. It's a great location for the national wildlife refuge, Wakulla Springs, and other attractions. The rooms are basic, simple motel rooms. It's nothing fancy, but the reasonable price reflects that. The room was clean and well-maintained. The owner was very flexible when I had to change my travel plans... More

At 45, I've stayed at some unique places in my life. Cabins on top of a Smokey Mountain ridge, the Plaza in downtown St. Louis, The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, and even a motel in the middle of the Florida Keys with a salt water pool carved out of coral rock. However, this place is now in my top 5... More
