My husband and I just got back from a wedding anniversary trip to St.George's Island, Florida and we stayed at the Bucaneer Inn. The room was n9c3 and comfortable and it was walking g distance to a let of businesses like restuarants the island's visitors enter and the lighthouse museum. It had a nice deck that you look right into... More

I'm giving it two stars only because its on the beach. The rooms are sparse. I mean worse than Motel 6 sparse. No bugs, so that's good. I was scoping out hotels for wedding guests with the thought that our daughter may get married on the beach on SGI. There's no way. Pool is like 1950s old. Area around the... More

If this hotel was not near a beach rooms would be $29 a night and you would still feel you got ripped off. On the positive side it was clean but still the worst place I have stayed in many, many years. Rent a condo close by

Reservation, check-in and check-out were quick and easy. We were very fortunate to have a second floor room facing the gulf with a HUGE window. The only drawback to that is that there is a walkway in front of the window. We kept the curtains closed most of the time because people walking by could see inside. The room was... More

First time to panhandle and St. George Island. Couldn't ask for a better location and view. We had a deluxe gulf view and it was great. 3 minute walk to beautiful beach. Rental chairs and umbrella available for $20 for day. 4 minute walk to Blue Parrot for dinner. Hotel is a bit dated and could use some fine tuning... More

Clean, dated, good value. We spent more time exploring the island and surrounding area than in our room. The beach is just out the back door! Great location! The staff was friendly and helpful. We had extremely loud and obnoxious neighbors, the staff tried handling them but didn't help a lot. I feel they should have been evicted. It did... More

Yes, The Buccaneer Inn is old and the rooms are dated. I didn't go to the Island to Visit a hotel. I went to enjoy the island. The hotel is there for you to sleep and shower if you can do that then you can enjoy the hotel and the sleep well at night. The beds were comfortable and the... More

Let's face it, you're at the beach. But I would recommend not staying at the Buccaneer Inn. Very, very worn out, dirty, old and not taken care of but it is on the beach.Spend a bit more time and $ and go to Destin.

We stayed at the Buccaneer Inn for two days during Thanksgiving. We had a large room with a view of the gulf. The room was very clean and the hotel staff was very accommodating. The hotel is older but we enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again...

Wife and I stayed over Thanksgiving for two nights. The folks working there are very nice. The hotel is run down and wore out. It is fairly clean though. Need a quarter for ice. The fridge makes a nice hum for sleep but no cold temps to keep your stuff cold. Didn't need the maids on day two as we... More
