The soft, sugar-white sands of St. George Island have made it number 3 on the nation's top ten beaches. The state park is phenomenal, and the buildings and facilities have been rebuilt and upgraded after storm damage a few years ago. This is an incredible beach!

This is a gem of Florida coast. We camp in put rv at the sugar hill campground. The bathhouse and sites are immaculate. It is easy to find privacy on the sugar sand beaches. The staff is friendly and helpful. They spray for bugs twice a week so not as buggy as some other Florida beaches.

This is our third trip to sgi and third time going to the state park. It is gorgeous!!! This time and last time (sept 2012) we have found amazing shells! The beach is super clean and so are the bathroom and changing facilities.

Recently went over this past Labor Day weekend. Really cant say enough about this island. Have stayed 3 or 4 times over the years and have camped at the state park which is really nice. Beaches are clean. Facilities are very good. And the island doesnt get as hectic as other vacation spots. Definitely my favorite "Gulf" beach.....

One of Florida's best kept secrets. Quiet, private, secluded and gorgeous. Facilities are excellent and service is top notch. Don't miss an opportunity to stay here...a bit of a drive, but well worth it.

We visited Apalachicola Thanksgiving weekend. Saint George Island State Park was the highlight of the trip. The day we were there it was sunny and warm. The beautiful beaches go on for miles and we had the place almost to ourselves. Go and enjoy!

My wife and I have visited SGI several times and always make time to hike this great park. Title says it all !!! A great campground well taken care of by the Rangers and workampers. There are beaches close in the park that will take your breathe away and not crowded. Bring DEET as there are mosquitoes but it's worth it!
