This This State park has a very long beach with lots of room to spread out your blanket or take a really long walks down the beach. We were here in April and during the week there weren't many people at all. It is so nice to have a natural beach back ground with out houses or hotels all around... More

A pleasant travel respite for my busy life in Atlanta. Quiet and tranquil Florida State Park. Well suited for family camping, RVing and a nature photographer. I found it very relaxing and no condos, tiki bars and noisy traffic and motorcycles.

We spent several nights here camping. Facilities were good, campsites were a bit tight and not a great deal of privacy. Bath-houses were large and clean. Beach pavilions and trails were interesting and wish we could have spent more time here. Quiet park and not much light pollution if you are into star watching.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the park. There are a few sites that accommodate big rigs, but several were smaller. There were plenty of people in tents and smaller rigs. We were in a 27' travel trailer and had plenty of room. The site was quite level and backed onto bush. There was some underbrush between sites.... More

We were staying in an RV park in Eastpoint, and decided to check out the RV park on Saint George Island. The ranger at the guard house was brusque almost to the point of being rude. When we asked if we could drive in and see the campground, he said we would have to pay the entrance fee. When we... More

Quiet clean campground. I recommend site's in the back of campground. Beautiful beach! Best place to get seafood is Dougs truck.their every day excellent prices.Do not recommend shopping at the local grocery store. Much to expensive. The corner gas station is a iga and priced reasonably.cant wait to visit again.

SGI has a beautiful State Park. It really is quiet bliss at the end of the point. Fishing is a great sport and there are lots of fish in the gulf. Swimming, walking and building sand castles are favorite activities. Seashells are everywhere. The sand is a creamy white partially mines with yellow seashells. There are many different things to do... More

Sometimes you want to go to the beach and just hear the surf instead of everyone screaming, smoking and drinking that also enjoy the beach. The state park gives you that option, you can pick a little piece of heaven out and make it your quiet oasis for the entire day.

We.came to St George Island State Park as part of an annual camping trip where we choose a different location each year for a family reunion. The park is nice, the sites are large you could easily fit two or three large family tents per site, the bathhouses are kept clean daily, and the park rangers and staff are extremely... More
