The park is very well maintained and obviously cared for with it's careful signage protecting the dunes and sandpiper nests. The road is extremely lengthy so bring some nice music to help set the scene. It's extremely pleasent, my only complaint being the limited parking spaces on the roadside lots that show up ocassionally. It keeps the beach goers a... More

We always visit Saint George park when we're staying in Saint Teresa at least twice each year. Beautiful, natural beaches. Love shelling, few people, etc... Last visit I was shelling on 2 ft water and a HUGE black Shark was within a few feet! Yes, I jumped out of the water and people were running down the beach to see... More

If you're staying on St George Island, make sure you take a few hours or more to experience St George as it was. Deeper water, wide beaches, few people and lots of cool birds and wildlife. It has a secluded feel but with convenient facilities and access.

What a great place to camp. We loved it. The only issue we had was the Rangers. The female ranger was very nice and helpful, but every single one of the men was the quintessential government employee, not willing to go out of their way to help in any way. Some of them have a power issue an like to... More

This This State park has a very long beach with lots of room to spread out your blanket or take a really long walks down the beach. We were here in April and during the week there weren't many people at all. It is so nice to have a natural beach back ground with out houses or hotels all around... More

A pleasant travel respite for my busy life in Atlanta. Quiet and tranquil Florida State Park. Well suited for family camping, RVing and a nature photographer. I found it very relaxing and no condos, tiki bars and noisy traffic and motorcycles.

We spent several nights here camping. Facilities were good, campsites were a bit tight and not a great deal of privacy. Bath-houses were large and clean. Beach pavilions and trails were interesting and wish we could have spent more time here. Quiet park and not much light pollution if you are into star watching.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the park. There are a few sites that accommodate big rigs, but several were smaller. There were plenty of people in tents and smaller rigs. We were in a 27' travel trailer and had plenty of room. The site was quite level and backed onto bush. There was some underbrush between sites.... More

We were staying in an RV park in Eastpoint, and decided to check out the RV park on Saint George Island. The ranger at the guard house was brusque almost to the point of being rude. When we asked if we could drive in and see the campground, he said we would have to pay the entrance fee. When we... More
