Based on price and Trip Advisor reviews, we didn't expect a 5-star room, but it was much worse than we anticipated. Motel featured water damaged furniture, bathroom door that didn't fit door jam, constantly dripping tub, remote that didn't work, no spare roll of toilet paper, paper thin stained towels, single-lock external door, and a refrigerator that didn't cool properly.... The most unfriendly and disgusting place I've ever seen. Paid cash for the room, opened the door to a non smoking room that smelled like stale smoke, stains on the sheets, rust in the tub, cigarette burns on the matresses. We literally laid the key and the remote on the table, walked out and left and stayed at a lovely... More

We had dirty sheets, patched holes in the wall that weren't painted, cigarette burns on the side of the tub, cockroaches, and so much more. Our friends booked us a room for a group while in town for a concert. I would have never stayed there if I had seen the room first. It was the nastiest room I have... More

We reserved this motel online and were in complete shock after we got into our room! First, the non smoking room smelled like smoke when we got in there. The dated furnishings were not cleaning and working order. The towels were ripped and stained as were the sheets. The neighbors, who live in the inn, were drunk and loud. They even... More

please, dear God please, check out TripAdvisor before staying at the historic inn.if they gave me the $55, it would not be worth the therapy needed to overcome the experience. St Augustine is well worth the trip I try eating at Harry's , very good food.Have a nice vacation.

My Daughter (9years old) and I planned a mother/daughter trip and booked this hotel on Booking.com. After reading the reviews, I was a little nervous but thought I would give it a try. When we pulled up, two men were walking to their car and watched my daughter and I get out of the car. Once we started walking to... More

Our first night in Florida started in Saint Augustine at the Historic Inn. After a long day, all we wanted to do was freshen up and chill. But our room was next to the noisy drinks machine, it smelt musty and the air conditioning unit in the room was very loud. On a plus point, a short walk over the... More

Another "get what you pay for" hotel. I payed 77 for one Friday night. There were several hotels in the area around the same price. Some were on Ponce DeLeon rd north of historic district. I wanted easier access to the beach. Historic Inn is about a 5-8 minutes drive from St Aug beach. Check in was easy. The door... More

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away from the house for the night and decided to check in. As soon as he paid the owner our $55, I sat out in my car and looked around. I noticed one of the local men that hangs out on St.George Street living in one of the rooms. The grandmother of the... More

We chose this motel based on the price, but then found other, cleaner motels right next door for the same price. The location is great, but the owner is unfriendly, the carpet felt dirty, there is NO functional wi-fi, and the whole place felt grubby. We will never stay here again.
