Clean, quiet, very helpful staff. It is in a great location very close to downtown St Augustine, the Old Jail, and the trolley stations. I was traveling alone for work and felt very safe. Probably one of the nicer affordable hotels in the area.

Easy to find. Nice check-in experience. Parking lot was a bit undersized, but not bad. Hallways were just a little bit grimy and tattered. Rooms were way too small for all the furniture they pack in there. The one window in the room does not open....it's permanently sealed. As a result, the in-room HVAC system has to work quite a... I arrived around noon and checked to see if my room was ready - - it was not. However, the desk clerk said that if I would go to lunch it would be ready when we got back. we left and actually did not return until 3:00 pm (regular check-in time). My room was still not ready, I questioned why... More

When we checked in yesterday, 2 different couples were trying to cancel their stay, but were told that there was a 24 hr cancellation policy...will get back to that in a minute. It took a very long time to check in as there was only one person behind the desk and she was also answering the outside line as well... More

I always stay at Hampton Inns when I travel. The quality is good for the price. I have always found the staff very pleasant and helpful. However...at this particular Hampton Inn, the front desk person was rude and condescending. Room was small and cramped. Toilet kept running after it was flushed. TV had poor reception. Breakfast was good. I only... More

I just stayed at the Hampton Inn Historic District and the staff were very nice. The hotel is a standard Hampton Inn but everyone there was very friendly. It is located about twenty min walk from the fort, or a short drive. This is the first time I have stayed here. I would have rated it a better value if... More

I chose the Hampton Inn after doing price comparisons with other hotels in the area. Hampton Inn was one of the most economical deals and its location was good. Saint Augustine is one of the oldest cities in the United States and it is rich in history. That being said, the buildings and hotels are old and rustic. The Hampton... More

I had an extended stay at the Hampton Inn Historic District. I had a suite which had plenty of room. In fact it is just one big room! You get a small mini-fridge and microwave oven. Both have seen better days but served their purpose. There was an older TV in the room which was actually hard to see because... More

Stayed at The Hampton Inn April 6-8, 2009. Hotel is very clean (I am a neat & clean-freak)! Booked two rooms; one double queen and one King Suite. Although it was booked as a king suite it was not necessarily a suite. Room 300 appears to be a "last minute conversion" suite - hotel used spare space to convert this... More

This hotel was pretty average. Clean, but the room was not very appealing and was small (there also seemed to be some flushing problem with the toilet, as it kept going for a little while after it was done). My biggest problem was that the hotel was hardly in the historic district. There was nothing walking distance, and the nearest... More
