I escape regularly about an hour away to St. Augustine. I usually travel alone and stay in a hostel where it is quick and easy to find an adventurous friend to see the city and I feel safe enough to do it alone. I took a sick friend with me this time and was shocked by how expensive the hotel... More

This was a reasonable stopover although wouldn't want to stay there too long. The staff were pleasant and the best part of the stay was the breakfast, although self service was plentiful with several choices.

Stayed for three days in late April and found the hotel satisfactory. After checkout while on the road received a call from the manager stating that my wife's credit card declined the payment. I gave them my credit card number to satisfy $378. Upon arriving home a check of billing revealed that the room had been charged to both cards.... More

Beware, you get what you pay for. There is a great view of the bay in the back of the hotel, but that's all. (There's a long cargo train that use the tracks right next to the hotel) The rear of the hotel room doors, are open to the weather (you can hear the train & rain) In the room... More

We were running out of sunlight, out of Hotels and patients! This nice little place cropped up out of nowhere. Good location to places to eat and if you want to see a movie, they have a movie rental just for guests. When we return, this will be our choice of hotels in this area. Just make you aware there... Cut our stay short and moved to another hotel because we were not at all satisfied here. My husband had business in St. Augustine and selected this hotel because we were traveling with our small 10 lb dog. We checked in about 8 pm and he expressed his concerns about the room location to the desk clerk who told him... More

This hotel is located on a major road and because of this you will be awoken by the sounds of cars in the morning. The breakfast was fine. First room they gave us smelled like someone had been smoking in it so they switched us to another one. Hotel is not close enough that you can safely walk to trolley.

Hotel is ok for older hotel, staff helpful, breakfast good. Make sure stay on side away from highway. Quiet and newer tv,s. My only complaint is that the staff put us on noises side when hotel not heavily occupied. Either they did not care, trying to put advance pay in poor room or do not understand their hotel. If you... We got a reasonable discount for booking and prepaying through Choice Hotels website. About 30% savings. Hotel is old and tired but clean. The staff is exceptional. Breakfast was above average for Choice Hotel. Make sure to ask for outside room. Two stories. No elevator. Close to downtown madness.
